One stubborn duck!

Harold

Faithful Servant
Earlier I was writing a message to K-J and started to tell her about a stubborn duck that I have setting in the middle of winter, K-J remembers a story I told her once about praying in my garden and one of my ducks was setting there.

I erased that part of the message, and just now went and checked on that duck. Middle of winter, too early for them to do any good, but there she set with 5 chicks so far. I was going to tell K-J how that duck was defying logic, but somehow they always know, and something is drawing them on, not to give up. I could also here our Lord, telling me that when we feel like it is hopeless{much like I've felt lately} to get stubborn, not to give up. If that little hen with a brain no bigger than the end of my thumb can be that stubborn, then surely with the knowledge that there is a God that loves us, we can wait for the outcome.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for all that You have put in front of me, the good things You have given me, my family, health, hope, eternal life, brothers and sisters right here. People that love You and each other, as family and carry one anothers burdens. Lord, I thank You too for being there with us through the hardest times of our lives, there are some here who have lost loved ones, are going through tremendous financial struggles, those who are standing for their marriages, and some who are seeing themselves or their loved ones in bad health. Father, teach us to stand in defiance of the evil one, to be stubborn in our belief of You, to trust You even to the point of death, for that is exactly what Your Son Jesus did for us. Forgive us for our shortcomings, strengthen our resolve, teach us to be just as that little stubborn duck of mine, and wait patiently for our prayers to be answered. Lord, may the Holy Spirit be poured out upon us all in a renewal of annointing. I pray this for myself and all who come to You, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Father I am in agreement with Harold's prayer and determination to stand for our belief no matter what, I lift Harold to You today, and I thank You for speaking to my heart through him today, in Jesus name amen.

Father, I praise the fact that You speak to us in so many ways. You always know exactly what we need to keep our faith and spirit strong, and You always present to a way that allows us a chance to learn more about You and ourselves. I have enjoyed speaking with Harold about his stubborn little duck, and today, I ask that You might instill a bit of this duck's type of stubbornness in me. Help to stand firm and true in good times and bad. Allow me to wait until the whole picture is revealed before I give in to satan's ploys of worry and doubt. The needs of Your people are great, Father, but You are so much greater. Help us to tap into the wonderful resources we have in reading Your Holy Scriptures, prayer, worship, singing and praise. You are so much more than we deserve, all that we will ever need. Thank you for Harold's reminder to be 'tough' in our faith and wait upon You. In Jesus' name I pray with a thankful and humble heart. Amen.

Wow, that is so wonderful. The duck is teaching us.

Lord, I thank You for HArold and I stand in agreement with each of these prayers. In Jesus' name. Amen

Father,

Please let me be more like this stubborn, persistent duck and less like a chicken. Amen.

Lord, I thank You for the example of the stubborn duck, and I intend to be persistent too and hold on to the hem of Your Garment. In Jesus Name. Amen

Lord, I pray for all the needs of brother Harold, may You bless him and give him the stubbornness to see Your victory. In Jesus Name. Amen
