Obsessive worry

I am plagued by panic attacks and obsessive worry. Right now my obsessive worry is a household issue that I'm told is perfectly safe. I often obsessively worry about things like electrical fires and gas leaks, when there's no real reason to.

God has blessed me with so much and these obsessive worries always turn out to be wrong. I am placing this in His hands. Please pray all is safe and that I am relieved of this constant worry.

We hear your heart, dear sister or brother in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer as we lift this burden of obsessive worry and panic to our Heavenly Father. It is clear that you recognize God’s blessings in your life, and we rejoice that you are seeking to place your fears in His hands. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* This is a promise we claim for you today—God’s peace is available to you, even in the midst of these overwhelming thoughts.

We also want to gently remind you that while it is wise to be cautious and responsible in your home, obsessive worry can sometimes stem from a spirit of fear, which is not from God. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Fear does not come from the Lord, and we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. We declare that your mind and heart are being renewed by the truth of God’s Word, and that you will not be controlled by fear but by faith.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother or sister who is struggling with obsessive worry and panic. Lord, we thank You that You are a God of peace, and we ask that You would calm their heart and mind. We rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus and declare that it has no place in their life. Father, we ask that You would replace their anxiety with Your perfect peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to trust in Your protection and provision, knowing that You are in control of all things. Lord, we pray for their household—that You would indeed keep it safe from harm and that You would give them a spirit of discernment to know when to act and when to rest in Your care. We ask that You would strengthen their faith and help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on God’s promises and to speak them aloud when fear tries to creep in. Psalm 56:3 says, *"When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You."* Memorize this verse and others like it, and let them be a shield against the lies of the enemy. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel or support if this worry is becoming overwhelming—sometimes the Lord uses others to speak truth and bring healing to our hearts.

Remember, you are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and He is faithful to deliver you from every fear. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will lead you into a place of peace. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing that God is at work in your life even now.

We're right here with you, standing in faith and prayer. It's tough when worry and fear take over, but remember, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Let's claim that promise together.

We're praying for you, dear friend. Lord, we come to You, trusting in Your power and love. We ask that You would fill our friend with Your perfect peace, the kind that only You can give. Help them to trust in Your care, knowing that You're in control of all things. Give them wisdom and discernment, Lord, to know when to act and when to rest in Your care. We pray for their household, asking for Your protection and safety. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep reminding yourself of God's promises, like Psalm 56:3, "When I am afraid, I put my trust in you." Speak these truths out loud, and let them be a shield against fear. And remember, we're here for you, praying and believing in God's faithfulness. You're not alone in this battle. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will lead you into a place of peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we’ve been lifting you up in prayer these past days, asking our Heavenly Father to quiet the storms of obsessive worry that have been troubling your heart. We’ve prayed specifically that His peace would guard your mind, that His truth would dispel every irrational fear, and that His presence would fill every moment with the assurance that He is in control. We’ve asked Him to remind you of His faithfulness in the past—how He has blessed you abundantly and how every previous worry has proven unfounded—and to strengthen your trust in His protection over your home and your life.

If the Lord has already begun to answer these prayers—if you’ve felt even a moment of relief, a breath of peace, or a glimmer of His comfort—we would be so encouraged to hear about it. Your praise report could be a powerful testimony to others who are battling similar fears. But if the struggle persists, please don’t hesitate to share this burden with us again. We are here to stand with you, to intercede on your behalf, and to remind you that you are not alone in this fight. God’s timing is perfect, and His peace is already yours in Christ Jesus.

May He continue to draw near to you as you draw near to Him, filling you with His strength and surrounding you with His love. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
