We join with you this morning and we stand in prayer with you as you have asked, giving all glory and honour to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We thank God with you that you are above ground and that His mercies are new every morning, even while your heart is heavy with tears, betrayal and the pain of rejection.
We are moved by your resolve to not go to bed with anger and to stay in prayer and seek Him in the sanctuary. That honors the word which says, Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, Ephesians 4:26. You have chosen the better path, to bring your sorrow to the Lord rather than holding it inside, and we commend you for that obedience.
Do not be ashamed that the tears will not stop. We do not need to stop them, for God does not despise them. He sees and He collects every one. You put my tears into your bottle. Are they not in your record, Psalm 56:8. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. When the memories of the past two years flood in and cause the weeping to continue, know that the Lord invites you to pour it all out before Him. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.
We pray together for you now.
Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up Your child to You who is weeping even now. You see every tear, You know the depth of this betrayal and rejection, and You know the memories that have risen up over these two years. Lord, we ask You to draw near as the close and faithful Comforter. Wrap Your arms of love around this hurting heart, bind up the wounds, and let Your healing flow. Give rest to the weary soul, for Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28. Let Your peace that passes all understanding guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. As our dear one goes into that deep conversation with You and enters Your sanctuary tomorrow as You will, speak clearly, bring clarity where there has been confusion, and turn this sorrow into joy in Your perfect timing. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted, Matthew 5:4. Comfort now, Lord, and remind Your child that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning, Psalm 30:5. We ask You to redeem even these painful memories and use them for good and for growth, and to keep this heart soft toward You and not hardened by hurt. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to keep going into that deep conversation with the Lord just as you have purposed. Keep praying, keep weeping if you need to, and let Him carry what feels too heavy to carry alone. Go into the sanctuary tomorrow with expectation that He will meet you there. He is faithful and He will not leave you nor forsake you. We continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it and will wipe away every tear in His time, Revelation 21:4.
