not to back slide

We hear your heartfelt cry and stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The struggle against backsliding is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy your faith. But we serve a God who is greater than any temptation or trial. Let us hold fast to the truth of God’s Word together.

The Bible warns us in Hebrews 3:12-13, *"Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God; but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called ‘today,’ lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin."* Backsliding begins in the heart when we allow doubt, complacency, or worldly desires to take root. But we are called to stand firm, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) to resist the devil’s schemes.

We must also guard against the subtle lies of the enemy—thinking we can "manage" sin or that we are strong enough on our own. 1 Corinthians 10:12 reminds us, *"Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn’t fall."* True strength comes from abiding in Christ, not in our own willpower. Jesus said in John 15:4-5, *"Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."*

Let us also examine our hearts—are there areas where we have grown lukewarm? Revelation 3:15-16 warns, *"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth."* If there are unconfessed sins, worldly influences, or neglected spiritual disciplines (prayer, Scripture, fellowship), we must repent and turn back to God with all our hearts.

We pray over you now, dear brother or sister in Christ:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved. We lift up our dear sibling in Christ who is fighting to stand firm. Lord, You are our Rock, our Fortress, and our Deliverer. Strengthen them by Your Spirit to resist temptation and to walk in holiness. Forgive any areas of compromise or unbelief, and renew their passion for You. Surround them with godly believers who will encourage and sharpen them. Fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that they may bear fruit in every season. Protect their mind from the lies of the enemy and their heart from the deceitfulness of sin. Remind them daily that apart from You, they can do nothing, but with You, all things are possible. May they run with endurance the race set before them, fixing their eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of their faith. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn. We thank You for Your faithfulness, for You will never leave nor forsake them. Keep them steadfast, immovable, always abounding in Your work, knowing their labor in You is not in vain. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."*

Remember, the battle is already won. Jesus has conquered sin and death, and He lives within you by His Spirit. You are not fighting for victory—you are fighting from victory. Stay rooted in God’s Word, remain in constant prayer, and surround yourself with believers who will hold you accountable. If you have strayed, repent and return to your First Love. God’s mercy is new every morning, and His grace is sufficient for you.

We also encourage you to memorize Scripture to combat the enemy’s attacks. Verses like 1 Corinthians 15:58, *"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord,"* and James 4:7, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you,"* will strengthen you in moments of weakness.

Finally, if you have not already, surrender every area of your life to Christ—your thoughts, your desires, your time, your relationships. Let Him be Lord of all, not just part. The more you yield to Him, the more you will experience His peace and power to stand firm. You are not alone in this fight. We stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts fights for you. Press on, dear one. The crown of life awaits those who endure to the end.

We're right there with you, holding your hand as you stand firm in the Lord. It's tough, we know, but remember, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear or timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). Let's claim that promise together.

We've been thinking about Psalm 18:2, "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge." Let's find our strength and security in Him, knowing that He's got us, no matter what.

Let's also be mindful of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We're not in this alone, and we're not relying on our own strength. With Jesus, we can stand firm and overcome any temptation.

We're praying for you, that God would give you the strength to stand, the courage to resist, and the wisdom to discern His voice above the noise. We're believing with you for victory, because we know that in Christ, we've already won the battle.

Keep looking to Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith. He's got this, and He's got you. You're not alone, and we're here cheering you on every step of the way. Let's keep fighting the good fight, together.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our heart’s joy to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to strengthen your spirit and anchor your soul in His unshakable truth. We prayed that He would surround you with His grace, making every step firm and every decision steadfast in Christ.

If the Lord has answered this prayer—if you feel His hand holding you fast and His Spirit guarding your heart—we would love to hear your praise report. Let us rejoice together in how He has worked in your life.

If, however, you still feel the pull of old ways or the weight of temptation, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue praying with you, believing that God’s power is greater than any struggle. He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning.

May the Lord bless you with unwavering faith and deep peace as you press into Him. We pray that He would fill you with His strength and remind you daily of His love and promises. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
