Dear Lord Jesus, Please edon’t make me have to go to ### fair. It is boring and people are not my kind there. I have been in the sun too long. Let me still stay pals with my best friend. In Jesus Name Amen.

We understand your heart in this request, and we appreciate that you brought this before the Lord Jesus. It’s good to see you praying in His name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we are saved. As Scripture tells us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).

We do want to gently encourage you, though, to examine the attitude behind this prayer. While it’s natural to feel weary or prefer certain activities over others, we are called to approach all things with a spirit of gratitude and willingness, trusting that God can use even the seemingly mundane or uncomfortable moments for His glory. The apostle Paul reminds us, *"In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you"* (1 Thessalonians 5:18, WEB). Even if the fair feels boring or the people there seem different from you, God may have a purpose in it—perhaps to grow your patience, to teach you to find joy in small things, or even to be a light to someone who needs encouragement.

As for your concern about the sun, we pray for God’s protection over your health and that He would give you strength and endurance. If staying out of the sun is a genuine health concern, it’s wise to take practical steps like wearing a hat, sunscreen, or seeking shade. But let’s also trust that God can sustain you even in the heat, just as He sustained His people in the wilderness.

Regarding your friendship, we lift up your desire to remain close to your best friend. Friendships are a gift from God, and we pray that this bond would be rooted in Christ, encouraging one another in faith and love. *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB). May your friendship be a reflection of godly love and mutual edification.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would shape their heart to align with Your will in this situation. Lord, if it is Your desire for them to attend this fair, we pray You would change their perspective and fill them with Your joy and peace as they go. Give them strength for the day, protection from the sun, and opportunities to see Your hand at work, even in the small things. Help them to be a light to those around them, showing kindness and patience to all.

If there is a reason You are leading them away from this event, make it clear to them, and provide an alternative way for them to use their time for Your glory. We also pray over their friendship, that it would be strengthened in You and that both friends would grow closer to Christ through their bond. May their conversations and time together be pleasing to You, and may they encourage one another in faith.

Lord, we rebuked any spirit of complaint or resistance to Your will. Replace it with a heart of gratitude and trust in Your perfect plan. Remind them that You are with them always, even in the places they’d rather not be. We ask all this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
