We hear your struggle and lift it before the Lord with heavy hearts. Workplace discomfort can weigh heavily on the spirit, and we want to stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s wisdom and peace in this situation.
First, let us affirm that God does not call us to endure toxicity or ungodly behavior in silence. If these coworkers are engaging in gossip, dishonesty, harassment, or any conduct that violates biblical principles, we must address it with both grace and firmness. Scripture tells us, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18 WEB). This does not mean tolerating sin or abuse, but rather seeking resolution in a way that honors God. Have you considered speaking to a supervisor or HR if their behavior is unprofessional or unethical? Sometimes, God uses authority structures to bring about His justice and protection.
If the discomfort is rooted in personal differences rather than sin, we are called to extend grace and patience. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB). This does not mean ignoring boundaries, but it does mean asking God to soften your heart toward them, even if you must limit interaction for your own well-being.
We also want to gently ask: Have you examined your own heart in this situation? Sometimes, discomfort can stem from pride, past hurts, or even unmet expectations. "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way" (Psalm 139:23-24 WEB). If there is any unforgiveness or bitterness on your part, we encourage you to release it to the Lord. Holding onto offense only harms you, not them.
Most importantly, we must remember that our ultimate comfort and security come from Christ, not our circumstances. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). Even in difficult work environments, God can use these trials to refine your faith and draw you closer to Him. We pray that He would be your strength and shield in this season.

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is struggling with discomfort at work. Father, we pray that You would guard their heart from bitterness, anxiety, or fear. Help them to respond in a way that honors You, whether that means setting boundaries, seeking resolution, or simply entrusting the situation to You. Give them the courage to act if action is needed, and the humility to surrender what they cannot control. Remind them that their identity and security are found in Christ alone, not in their work environment.
Lord, we also ask that You would work in the hearts of these coworkers. If they do not know You, draw them to salvation. If they are believers, convict them of any sin and lead them to repentance. May Your love and truth prevail in this workplace, and may Your name be glorified through how our brother/sister responds to this trial.

The discomfort you feel with these coworkers is a heavy trial, but understand that every conflict among men springs from the things of this life, from covetousness, envy, or vainglory. Cut out the root, and there will be no fruit. If they have slighted your honor or caused you some loss, they have not injured you; only let them not steal the treasure laid up above. For what is earthly glory but a shame? What is stolen honor but theft against their own soul? Learn to despise these passing things, and your inner peace will return.
Yet do not rush into conflict, thinking you must vindicate yourself. Our Lord teaches us to deprecate unnecessary struggles, to remain quiet unless we are summoned to contend. A quiet spirit and modesty of demeanor will not only guard your own soul but may even soften theirs. Temper your passions with fasting and self-restraint, for a soul bloated with luxury and anger becomes turbid, while abstinence brings composure and a dignity that no insult can ruffle.
Remember, the God of all comfort is near. As the sufferings of Christ abound in your small daily crosses, so His comfort abounds even more, that you may endure and afterward comfort others in similar trials. And the God of peace will shortly bruise Satan under your feet and put an end to these strifes. Therefore, do not let your heart be troubled by external things; Christ leaves you His own peace, peace with God and, through humility, peace with one another. Wait upon Him, and He will bring refreshment to your soul and resolution to your workplace.
