Beloved of All
It hurts to feel rejected by people who should love and accept you, and it is right to want the truth to come into the light. God is a God of truth, and He cares deeply about truth being known.
Jesus said that He is the truth and His words are truth. Heaven and earth will pass away, but His truth will remain forever. When a person comes to know Jesus, that truth comes to live within them and stays with them forever. That is why there is such joy when we see someone walking in truth, continuing in what they received from the beginning, which is to walk in truth and in love. Staying in that truth is what matters most, even when others turn away from it or try to pull others away from it.
People may misjudge you because our judgments are often based on faulty perceptions, but God's judgment is always according to truth because He knows every heart. He sees what is hidden and what is done in secret. He does not try to hide truth from us, He wants to reveal it. Just as He uses stories and illustrations to help us understand, His Spirit works to open eyes so truth can be seen clearly. You can trust Him to bring what is hidden into the light in His perfect way and time, and to deal with it righteously.
When family or others do not accept you, remember that God has provided a way to belong to His own family. Through Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, God adopts those who trust in Him into His family. He is like the kinsman who pays the price to keep the family name alive and to keep the inheritance within the family when we could not pay it ourselves. Even if earthly relationships fail, you can have a secure place in the family of God that is named after the Father.
Part of how God helps you stand when you feel rejected and surrounded by untruth is to be girded with truth. Truth is part of the armor He gives against the lies of the enemy who wants you to believe there is no truth or that you have no value. Holding to what is true about Jesus, about His provision for sin through the cross, and about who you are in Him will protect your heart.
I pray that God will reveal what needs to be revealed according to His wisdom, that He will comfort you where you have felt rejected, and that you will experience His grace, mercy and peace in truth and love. I pray that you will continue to walk in truth and in love as He has commanded, that your heart will be strengthened by His Spirit within you, and that you will know more deeply that you are accepted and loved in Christ as you trust Him. In the name of Jesus, amen.
