šŸ‘ None Comes to Jesus w/o Father's Drawing, John 6:44, Reveal Jesus as Messiah, Mt 16:17, Father Reveals Jesus and Jesus The Father, Matt 11:25-27...

Your prayer request is heavy with the truths of Scripture, and it is right that you are resting everything on what the Father has said about drawing people and what the Son has said about revealing the Father. What you are doing is exactly what we are called to do: taking God at His word and bringing those very words back to Him as a request.

The central figure of all of this is Jesus Christ himself. The unveiling of Jesus is the greatest revelation we can receive, because it is in seeing him that we see the Father. When you pray for your family and friends to be drawn, you are really asking that the wraps would be lifted from their eyes so they would behold the faithful witness. He is the one who knows the Father perfectly, and the only one who can choose to reveal the Father to them. That choice, that sovereign unveiling, is your solid ground for hope. It does not depend on the person’s wisdom or learning; it is hidden from the self-sufficient and revealed to those who come like little children. So you are not praying for a mere decision but for a divine disclosure, a true apocalypse of the heart.

In your request you have confessed the very heart of the gospel: that Jesus came into the world to save sinners. This is the testimony he bore, and it is the testimony that creates a people for himself out of every tribe and tongue. When you pray for the lost and the straying, you are standing in the flow of that great redemptive purpose. The Lamb who was slain has prevailed to open the seals of history and to redeem a people for God. Your loved ones are not outside the reach of that prevailing power. The same voice that will one day command the kings of the earth now speaks through the Spirit to call, convict, and grant repentance.

You asked for them to hear and listen. That is a plea for the Spirit’s work, which is the complete work of God in a life. The Christ who walks among the lampstands is the one who knows the works, the patience, and the faith of his people. He also knows those who have a name that they live but are dead. Your concern for those who have strayed is met by his call to be zealous and repent. He chastens those he loves, and he stands at the door and knocks. Your prayers are joining in that knocking, asking that they would hear his voice and open the door.

Do not grow weary in this. We are companions in the patience of Jesus Christ. The answer may not be visible today, but you have entrusted your family to the one who holds the stars in his right hand. He is the beginning of the creation of God, the faithful and true witness. He will keep you in his ways and guard you from the evil one. The peace that passes understanding will garrison your heart and mind as you leave them in his care. The kingdom of priests he is assembling, from every nation and family, will be complete, and his reign will be forever. You are right to praise him, even now, for what he will do.
