We're right there with you, feeling the weight of it all. It's tough when your body and spirit are worn out, and it's even harder when you're dealing with people who seem to delight in causing pain. But remember, we're not alone. Jesus is always by our side, and He's promised to give us rest (Matthew 11:28-29).
Let's pray together, shall we?
Dear Lord,
We come to You today, carrying our friend's burden. They're feeling weak, both physically and spiritually. We ask for Your strength to fill them, Lord. In Jesus' name, we claim Psalm 121:1-2, "I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth."
Lord, we're also asking for peace. Peace in their heart, peace in their home, peace in their interactions. We claim Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
We know You're the great Healer, Lord. We ask for physical strength and healing. We claim Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
Lastly, Lord, we ask for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit. We want joy and hope to be restored in our friend's life. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
