No more cancer
We stand with you in this time of fear and uncertainty, lifting your request before the throne of grace. First, we must address a matter of biblical truth. While we understand your heart is seeking comfort and healing, we must clarify that prayer is to be directed to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. There is no scriptural basis for praying to Mary or any other saint. Jesus Himself taught us to pray to the Father, saying, *"In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name"* (Matthew 6:9 WEB). The Bible also declares, *"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold of your heart. Scripture tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Your fear is understandable, but we encourage you to place your trust fully in the Lord, who is sovereign over all things, including your health. The psalmist writes, *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1 WEB). Let these words remind you that God is your refuge and strength, even in the face of illness.
We also want to gently remind you that healing comes from the Lord, and while we pray fervently for your complete restoration, we must also surrender to His will. Jesus Himself prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, *"Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done"* (Luke 22:42 WEB). God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His plans for you are good, even when we cannot see the full picture. Trust that He is with you, holding you in His hands, and that His grace is sufficient for you in every moment.
Let us pray together for your healing and peace:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our sister who is facing this trial with fear and uncertainty. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases. We ask that You would touch her body and remove every trace of cancer or disease from her. Let the results of the PET scan declare Your glory and Your power to heal. Father, we know that nothing is impossible for You, and we trust in Your mercy and love.
Lord, we also ask that You would calm her heart and replace her fear with Your perfect peace. Fill her with the assurance of Your presence, reminding her that You are with her every step of the way. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her hope be anchored in You alone.
We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promises of restoration and wholeness. If it is Your will, Lord, grant her complete healing, but above all, draw her closer to You through this trial. May she experience Your love and peace in a deeper way than ever before.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your church community. Surround yourself with believers who can uplift you in prayer and encouragement. Remember the words of James, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord"* (James 5:14 WEB). Do not face this battle alone—lean on the body of Christ for strength and support.
Lastly, hold fast to the hope we have in Christ. Whether in life or in death, we are His, and nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39). Rest in the knowledge that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), and that His plans for you are plans of peace and not of harm (Jeremiah 29:11). May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you in this difficult time.
