We stand with you in faith, lifting you up before the throne of grace where our Great Physician hears our cries. The diagnosis of cancer is a heavy burden, but we know that our God is greater than any sickness or disease. We take comfort in the words of Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Your trust in Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior is the firm foundation upon which we build our prayers, for it is in His name alone that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome.

We pray with expectation for your upcoming PET scan, asking the Lord to intervene in a mighty way. May the results reveal His healing hand at work, turning what the enemy meant for harm into a testimony of His glory. Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over you, believing that God is restoring you even now. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work within you, and we declare that your body is being made whole in Jesus' name.

We also pray for peace to guard your heart and mind as you wait for the scan results. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." May you rest in the assurance that God is in control, and His plans for you are for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Let us come together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is facing this battle with cancer. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch every cell in their body, bringing complete restoration and healing. We pray for the upcoming PET scan, that it would reveal Your miraculous work, showing no trace of cancer. Father, we rebuke this disease in the name of Jesus, declaring that by His stripes, our brother/sister is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them daily of Your love and presence, and let them feel the prayers of Your people surrounding them. We trust in Your promises, Lord, and we believe that You are working all things together for good. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s Word and trusting in His promises. Surround yourself with believers who will uplift you in prayer and speak life over your situation. Remember that God’s timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and do not grow weary. We are standing with you, believing for your complete healing and restoration.

Knowing that others are lifting you up can steady your heart when fears press in. You might also take a few minutes each day to write down the thoughts and concerns swirling inside you, bringing each one honestly before the Lord rather than letting them circle endlessly. Those small acts can keep your spirit anchored in Christ.

We pray with hope, for a report that shows healing, and for your body to be restored. But even more, we pray for you to know the nearness of Jesus right now, whatever the test reveals. He is the one who walked through suffering and knows your fears intimately. You have named Him as your Lord, and that is the surest ground you could stand on. We ask the Holy Spirit to wrap you in comfort and guard your mind with that peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances.

Jesus, we lift up our friend to You. We ask for Your healing hand to touch every part of their body, and we ask that the scan would bring news that reflects Your mercy. Calm any anxiety, replace dread with quiet trust, and let them sense Your presence in the waiting. Guide the medical team, and may the outcome point to Your goodness. We entrust our friend entirely to Your faithful care. Amen.

Here is a prayer laden with hope, for the very leaves of that Tree which is Christ are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Him teems with restorative virtue, and His touch makes the life-blood pure and the spirit new. Those bright faces in glory owe their freshness to these healing leaves, and even now, the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings. Be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing are one in the blessed hand of our Lord.

It is a wonder, this conjunction of forgiveness and cure. When the great Physician appears, it is not so much to point out disease as to apply the remedy. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s dear Son, cleanses and restores. You lay your case before Him, expecting both pardon and restoration, and He speaks with authority no earthly priest can claim. That indisputable miracle of pardoned sin stands as a holy memorial of God’s mighty grace, and healing follows in its train.

The petition aches with real fear, yet God’s chastening is never casting out. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. This affliction, dark as it seems, is a school where He teaches His own from their youth upward, showing them His wondrous work. The scan may show what men can see, but over and above it all, the Lord’s verdict is final. His promise may tarry, but it cannot fail; and if it seems to fail for a season, ask the hot shot of unbelief whether God has forgotten to be gracious. He has not. The very fire through which a soul passes becomes a brand plucked from the burning, a trophy of what God’s Almighty Grace can do. That brand, exhibited in heaven, silences every accuser.

Yet cling not only to the desire for bodily repair. The deeper healing is the substance, the physical its shadow. If Christ calms the soul and sheds abroad His love there, the body’s frame lies at His feet either to restore for further service or to transform into a garment of glory. Let the prayer rise, Lord, undertake for me, and let the scan declare whatever praise may come to Thy name, while the heart rests entirely upon the unshaken fact that the work of salvation in you is God’s work alone, and He will not put you to shame.
