For God's healing, merciful care, comfort, favor and peace

Beloved of All
Please kindly pray that I may be uplifted after the passing away of a close relative, for my emotional and physical healing, for abdominal pain to cease and for sound refreshing rest / sleep, and that I will feel well and strong enough to attend Church. I really need the Lord's Help and trust in Him to sustain and bring relief and Hope. Praying in Jesus Most Precious Name. Amen.

We lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, knowing the deep sorrow that comes with losing a beloved relative. The pain of grief can weigh heavily on both the heart and the body, and we stand with you in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to draw near to you in this time of mourning. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May His presence be a comfort to you, wrapping you in His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We pray for your emotional healing, dear one, that the Lord would bind up your wounds and restore your soul (Psalm 147:3). Grief is a journey, and it is okay to feel the weight of it, but we ask that God would lift the heaviness from your spirit and fill you with His hope. May He remind you of the blessed hope we have in Christ, that death is not the end, but a passage to eternal life for those who are in Him (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14). We also pray for your physical healing, that the abdominal pain you are experiencing would cease as you rest in His care. The Lord is your healer (Exodus 15:26), and we trust Him to bring relief to your body as you seek Him.

We ask the Lord to grant you sound and refreshing sleep, for He gives rest to His beloved (Psalm 127:2). May your nights be filled with His peace, and may you wake strengthened in body and spirit. We pray that you would feel well enough to attend church, where you can be surrounded by the fellowship of believers and the truth of God’s Word. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to support you in prayer and encouragement.

Above all, we rejoice that you are placing your trust in the Lord, for He is faithful to sustain you. Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). May He fill you with His joy, even in the midst of sorrow, and may His love be a light that guides you through this season. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, who conquered death and offers us eternal life. Amen.

Lean on Him, dear one, for He is your strength and your song (Isaiah 12:2). You are not alone.

We are so sorry for your loss, and we ache with you in this season of grief. It’s no small thing to face the death of someone close, and when your body is also weighed down with exhaustion and pain, just getting through a day takes real courage. We’re grateful you’re reaching out and holding on to the Lord’s help.

While we pray earnestly for God’s healing hand, we also want to gently encourage you to see your doctor about the abdominal pain. Grief can certainly upset the body, but a medical check-up is a wise step to make sure nothing else needs attention. You’re not lacking faith by doing that; it’s simply being a good steward of the health God gave you.

In the meantime, be patient with yourself. Grieving and mending don’t run on a timetable. As for church, that tug on your heart is good. Perhaps you can just go, even if you slip in quietly at the back and leave early. You don’t have to be “well and strong” to be present. Sometimes the hymns and prayers carry us when our own strength is spent, and simply sitting in that place of hope can be a gentle step forward.

We are praying for you now:

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend who is worn down by sorrow, pain, and sleeplessness. Please wrap them in Your comfort and mercy. Still their racing thoughts and bring deep, refreshing rest. Touch their body, ease the pain, restore what grief has drained, and give them the strength they need one day at a time. Meet them in the quiet hours, and when the time is right, help them find their way back to worship among Your people. In Your healing name, Amen.

The sorrow that now shakes your soul is not sent in vain, nor does it find you unbefriended. You have come to the right place, to the throne of grace, and in the name of Jesus you have asked for what only His pierced hand can give. That very prayer, uttered in His most precious name, is the breathing of a living child, and the Father hears.

You speak of the passing of one you loved, of a heavy heart, of a body that ### and sleep that ###. I would press upon you this glorious truth: the God of all comfort draws near to the broken, and the Lord Jesus Christ gives rest. Not a rest we must wait for until we enter the celestial city only, but a present rest, given there and then when we come to Him with our labors and our loads. His own word to you this hour is, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Receive that rest by faith as a finished gift. The pardon of sin, the acceptance in the Beloved, the assurance that nothing can pluck you from His hand, this is the foundation. On this bedrock, even in the night watches, you may pillow your weary head.

Yet after this given rest, there is a rest that is found, a deepening repose that comes as we learn of Him. The passing of a dear relative stirs the deepest waters of the spirit, but it also opens a door to learn Christ more intimately as the Resurrection and the Life. You are being taught patience, and through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures, the God of hope purposes to fill you with all joy and peace in believing. The ### in your body and the ### hours are hard tutors, but they are compelling you to lean where everlasting arms wait to uphold you. It is often in the night that His quickening comes; He does not always remove the thorn, but He gives more grace, and in quickening the inner man He brings a comfort that the world cannot give.

Do not measure His love by your present ease. It is better to be the most afflicted child of God than the merriest worldling who is without Christ. Your hope is not a vain wish, but a good hope through grace. It is anchored within the veil, whither the Forerunner has for us entered. You remember your departed one? Then remember also: the rougher the road on earth, the sweeter the rest above when we gather home. The day will come when you shall forget this misery, or remember it only as waters that pass away.

For this present hour, cast yourself entirely upon Him. Ask Him for strength to rise and go to His courts. The dear company of His people, the sweet song of Zion, the simple breaking of bread, these are often the outward means by which the Comforter breathes fresh oil upon the flickering flame. May the Lord quicken your mortal body, soothe that ###, and grant you such refreshing sleep that you awake with a song in your heart, glad for the Sabbath day that saw our Lord arise. Comfort ye, comfort ye, my people, saith your God. He is speaking that word even now to your trembling soul. Take it, and be at peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

These pains of body and soul are known to the Lord. You have felt the sting of death, and your flesh groans with you. Do not be surprised at this weight of sorrow. That very grief shows the love you bore, a love that does not perish, for the dead are not lost. Hear the Apostle: he speaks of those who have fallen asleep in Christ, and he comforts us not merely with the promise of a bare rising, but with abundant honor and glory. All shall rise, but those in Christ shall be with the Lord, caught up in the clouds. Your departed one, if in Christ, is not gone into darkness but into that bright quire. Fix your mind there, and the sharpness of the wound becomes a purer grief, a sadness mingled with a hope that makes you stronger than any cloudless sky.

For this healing of your body and the rest you seek, dive into the divine Scriptures as into a chest of medicines. If grief befalls you, take the New Testament, the Gospels, the Epistles. When your belly aches and sleep flies away, do not merely long for sleep; take the book and let it be your constant teacher. You will find there a man who was sick for thirty and eight years, watching others healed while he lay bound, and yet he did not curse his day. He answered with mildness, “Yea, Lord.” Consider his patience. The oracles of God can lull desire to sleep and grant comfort deeper than the rest that comes from a full stomach. The hired laborer, free from fear, sleeps with greater comfort than the rich man with his guarded chamber. So cast your cares upon God, and the sleep He gives will be sound.

You long to feel well enough to attend the assembly. This is a right and wholesome desire. Do not let a false shame or the weakness of your flesh keep you away if you have the strength to rise. When you step out, do not think you need to appear as the world’s gentlefolk do, needing many things to feel presentable. The true gentlewoman is content with few things; what belongs to the soul shows your dignity. The disciples were poor and trembling, yet they drew comfort together, finding strength in mutual faith. The sight of your brethren, and they of you, kindles a bright flame, like many lights gathered together. If you stay away, you lose that comfort, and they lose yours. This is no small thing.

Affliction not above measure is indeed a great teacher. Those who once sang hymns in the midst of the night with watchful souls were made purer than the sky by their trials. Rise up, if you are wakeful, and behold the quire of the stars, the profound silence. That stillness, the sight of all mankind laid low by sleep as in a single tomb, leads the soul to reflect on the end of all things and to seek God’s house. Suffer not your foot to be moved; this depends on yourself. Stand steadfast in your trust. Tarry not for some other teacher; you have the oracles. Keep them in your mind, and whether you are in pain or in silence, you will find the Lord has already supplied the medicine that brings relief and hope.
