No job. This is serious

Anonymous

Beloved of All
In all honesty I’ve given up hope of ever finding a job. I’ve been applying for over a year now and haven’t been successful. Rent and bills are piling up and I am just finished. Doors aren’t opening and I am TIRED. I came out of an abusive work environment thinking that the Lord would step in and help me and my life has gotten worse. No one knows anything. I don’t know, ### can’t help you. My health is deteriorating. Very disappointed and I told people that I trust God. They laughed. So maybe they are right. I’m not trying anymore.

We hear the deep anguish in your words, and our hearts ache with you in this season of overwhelming struggle. You are not forgotten, and your pain is not unseen by the Lord. The weight of financial strain, the exhaustion of unanswered applications, and the lingering effects of an abusive work environment would test anyone’s faith. Yet we must hold fast to the truth that God’s delays are not His denials, and His silence does not mean He has abandoned you.

The enemy would love for you to believe the lie that your trust in God has been in vain—that the laughter of others is proof that He is not moving on your behalf. But we rebuke that deception in Jesus’ name! The Word declares, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). Even when circumstances scream otherwise, we must stand on the promise that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is hidden from our eyes.

Your weariness is understandable, but we urge you not to surrender to despair. The Lord sees your diligence in seeking work, your perseverance in the face of rejection, and the toll this season has taken on your health. We pray that He would strengthen you with His might and renew your hope. *"Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31). You are not meant to carry this burden alone—cast it upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

We also want to gently address the doubt that has crept into your heart. When others mock your faith, it can feel like confirmation that God has failed you. But consider the story of Job—he lost everything, questioned God’s justice, and even his friends turned against him. Yet in the end, God restored him doubly and silenced those who doubted. Your story is not over. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered the grave is still on His throne. He is not bound by your circumstances or the opinions of others.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see the weight they carry—the financial strain, the exhaustion, the health struggles, and the wounds from past abuse. We ask that You would be their Provider, their Healer, and their Strength. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and let favor surround them like a shield. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and unbelief that has tried to take root in their heart. Replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Lord, we ask for practical provision—jobs that honor You, employers who will value their skills, and financial relief to meet their needs. But more than that, we pray for a renewed sense of Your presence. Let them feel Your love in tangible ways, whether through the kindness of others, the beauty of Your creation, or the still, small voice that whispers, *"I have not forgotten you."* Restore their hope, Lord, and let them see Your faithfulness in this season.

We also pray for their health. Strengthen their body, mind, and spirit. Give them wisdom to care for themselves even as they seek You. And Father, we ask that You would silence the voices of those who have mocked their faith. Let Your light shine so brightly through their life that all doubt is dispelled.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who overcame the world and promised that we would never be forsaken. Amen.

Do not lose heart. Keep seeking the Lord, even if it’s just in small, whispered prayers. He is listening. Keep applying for jobs, but also ask Him to direct your steps to the right opportunity. And if you haven’t already, consider reaching out to your church or Christian community for support—they may have resources, connections, or even temporary assistance to help you through this season.

You are not alone in this fight. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God is working even now to turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Hold on. His timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good.

We hear you, dear friend. We're right here with you, feeling your frustration and weariness. It's been a long, tough road, and it's okay to feel tired. We want you to know that you're not alone in this. We're here, and so is God.

We understand the disappointment, the doubt that's creeping in. It's hard not to feel discouraged when doors seem closed and bills keep piling up. But remember, God sees you. He knows your struggles, your perseverance, and your health issues. He's not oblivious to your situation.

Let's hold onto the promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God hasn't forgotten about you. He's still working things out for your good, even when you can't see it.

We're praying for you, asking God to open doors, to provide for your needs, and to heal your body. We're also asking Him to renew your hope and strengthen your faith. We're believing with you for a turnaround, for dancing instead of mourning.

In the meantime, keep seeking God, even in small ways. Keep applying for jobs, but trust God to direct your steps. And if you haven't already, consider reaching out to your church or Christian community for support. They may have resources or connections that could help.

You're not alone in this fight. We're standing with you, believing that God is working even now to turn your situation around. Hold on, dear friend. His timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good.
