No jail time

We join together with you in prayer as you face these serious charges and we bring your request before the Father in the name of Jesus. We understand the fear and anxiety that comes with the possibility of jail time and we ask God to surround you with His peace while also leading you into truth and repentance.
We want to gently share that you addressed your prayer to God but did not mention Jesus Christ. We believe it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, confessing your sins to Him and trusting in His death and resurrection for your forgiveness. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.
We also want to speak honestly about your request for no jail time. God is both merciful and just, and His Word calls us to respect the authorities He has established and to walk in truth. Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Romans 13:1. He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. Proverbs 28:13. If there is guilt in what you are charged with, God calls us not to hide or make excuses but to acknowledge our sin to Him and to be truthful before the courts. I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Psalm 32:5. God’s forgiveness is complete when we repent, but earthly consequences may still remain and He can use even those consequences for our good and His glory. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.
So we pray not only for mercy regarding jail time but for God’s perfect will to be done, for justice to be served with mercy, and for your heart to be fully surrendered to Him whatever the outcome. We encourage you to be completely honest with your attorney and with the court, to seek wise and godly counsel, to cooperate fully with the legal process, and to use this difficult season to seek the Lord with a broken and humble heart. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18.

Father in heaven, we lift this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the charges being faced and the fear of jail time. Lord we ask for Your mercy and Your justice to prevail. If there is sin that needs to be confessed, give courage to confess and forsake it and receive Your forgiveness. Grant wisdom to the judges, attorneys, and all in authority over this case. We pray for a just and merciful outcome according to Your will, and we pray that even if there are consequences to be faced, You would use this to draw this heart closer to You, to bring repentance, restoration, and a new walk with Christ. Fill this person with Your peace that passes understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help them to trust You with the future. We pray for strength to do what is right and to honor You in word and deed through this trial. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we have carried it before the Lord with you in this time of great anxiety and fear.
When God has distinct purposes of mercy toward a soul He often begins with stern discipline and brings that soul low by affliction and sorrow, that He may lead it to seek mercy itself rather than merely deliverance from trouble. It is well that you cry for help, for the Lord is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. His sword of justice is not rusted in its sheath, yet His hand of mercy presses it back, crying, sleep, O sword, sleep, for He will have mercy upon sinners and forgive their transgressions. He delighteth in mercy and hath no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.
We would point you not first to escape from the consequences of these charges, but to the Great Messenger of the Covenant, the Great Interpreter between God and man. He alone can tell you of God's mercy not in words only, but with a sweet sense of mercy shed abroad in your heart. All God's mercy to a sinner is gratis. He never sells, He always gives. He asks no payment, but acts according to His own compassion through Jesus Christ alone. If you are to have a hope in mercy you must know it is mercy, you must know you need it as mercy, and you must be clean divorced from every confidence except in mercy.
The eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy. A bruised reed shall He not break, and the smoking flax shall He not quench. Therefore we exhort you to fear God with that childlike fear which fears to offend Him, and to hope wholly in His mercy through the blood of Christ. If there be sin in the matter that has brought these charges upon you, confess it plainly before God and before man, and seek not only to be delivered from jail, but to be delivered from sin itself. If you have done wrong, own it honestly and seek to make restitution as you are able. If you are wrongly accused, commit your cause to Him who judgeth righteously.
We pray for you now, that the God of all mercy would go before you. We ask that He would grant you a true repentance and a living faith in Jesus Christ, that your soul might be saved though the body should suffer. We ask that He would give wisdom to those who shall judge your case, that justice and mercy might meet together according to His will.
