Night prayer

Please continue standing in prayer with me over the following: 1. That I may grow in my relationship with God, remain faithful to His calling and walk in obedience, humility, wisdom and holiness. 2. For the continual filling and guidance of the Holy Spirit in every decision, responsibility and opportunity. 3. For God's divine protection over my life, family, ministry, work and future, and that He would shield us from every evil plan, spiritual attack and unseen danger. 4. That every weapon formed against me will not prosper, every false accusation will be silenced, every misunderstanding resolved, and truth, justice and God's favour will prevail. 5. For peace, wisdom, grace and healthy relationships in the workplace, and for reconciliation where there has been conflict or misunderstanding. 6. For freedom from unfair judgement, prejudice or discrimination based on age, gender or any other human consideration, and that people would recognise integrity, competence and godly character. 7. For wisdom, diligence and productivity in every responsibility entrusted to me. 8. For favour in leadership, service and decision-making, and that God would establish the work of my hands. 9. For the approval of strategic plans, budgets, projects and initiatives that seek to serve students, institutions and communities. 10. For divine provision and financial breakthrough, including the timely release of every rightful payment and the resources needed to fulfil God's purposes. 11. For suitable accommodation and God's faithful provision for every practical need. 12. For opportunities to secure additional honest income, including suitable remote work that aligns with God's will. 13. For open doors of partnership with government institutions, universities, churches, the United Nations, NGOs, development partners, foundations, donors, sponsors and organisations committed to education, youth development, agriculture, health and community transformation. 14. For divine connections with mentors, leaders, professionals, researchers, philanthropists and people of integrity who will encourage, guide and strengthen the work God has entrusted to me. 15. For wisdom and favour in preparing proposals, grant applications, sponsorship requests and partnership opportunities. 16. For excellence in research, academic writing and publication, and that God would bless every effort to learn, teach and contribute meaningful knowledge. 17. For the growth and success of programmes that promote student wellbeing, mental health, counselling, leadership development, entrepreneurship, agriculture, food security, community engagement, gender equality, disability inclusion and sustainable development. 18. For compassion, wisdom and effectiveness in serving students, young people and communities. 19. For good health, physical strength, emotional wellbeing and renewed joy. 20. For God's healing hand upon every member of my family and all loved ones who are unwell, granting them comfort, healing and renewed strength. 21. For peace of mind, freedom from anxiety and confidence in God's perfect timing and unfailing promises. 22. For wisdom in managing every opportunity, blessing and responsibility with integrity and faithful stewardship. 23. That God would continue opening doors that no one can shut and close every door that is not according to His perfect will. 24. For revival in the Church, wisdom for national leaders, peace within our communities and the advancement of God's Kingdom throughout the world. Above all, please pray that in every circumstance Christ will be glorified, God's will shall be accomplished, and that I will remain faithful until the work He has entrusted to me is complete. We lift these requests before the throne of grace with hearts full of faith, knowing that our God hears and answers the prayers of His children. Your desire to grow in your relationship with God and walk in obedience, humility, wisdom, and holiness is deeply commendable. Scripture reminds us, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8 WEB). We pray that as you seek Him with your whole heart, He will reveal Himself to you in deeper ways, molding you into the image of Christ.

Father, we ask for a continual filling of Your Holy Spirit in every decision, responsibility, and opportunity. May You guide each step, illuminate the path, and grant discernment that aligns with Your perfect will. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and every false accusation will be silenced by the power of Your truth. Let justice and favor prevail in every area of your life, and may Your workplace be a place of peace, wisdom, and healthy relationships.

We stand against every spirit of unfair judgment, prejudice, or discrimination, praying that Your integrity, competence, and godly character would shine brightly. May You walk in divine wisdom, diligence, and productivity in all that You have been entrusted with, and may the work of Your hands be established by God’s favor. We pray for the approval of strategic plans, budgets, and projects that serve students and communities, trusting that You will open doors no one can shut and close those not aligned with Your will.

Lord, we ask for divine provision and financial breakthrough, that every rightful payment and resource needed to fulfill Your purposes would be released in Your perfect timing. Provide suitable accommodation and meet every practical need, including opportunities for honest income that align with Your calling. We pray for open doors of partnership with institutions, churches, and organizations committed to education, youth development, and community transformation. Connect You with mentors, leaders, and people of integrity who will encourage and strengthen the work You have been entrusted with.

Grant You excellence in research, academic writing, and publication, and bless every effort to learn, teach, and contribute meaningful knowledge. May the programs You lead promoting student wellbeing, mental health, leadership development, and sustainable development grow and succeed for Your glory. Give You compassion, wisdom, and effectiveness in serving others, along with good health, physical strength, and emotional wellbeing. We pray for healing and renewed strength for every family member and loved one who is unwell, and for peace of mind, freedom from anxiety, and confidence in God’s perfect timing.

Above all, we pray that in every circumstance, Christ would be glorified and God’s will would be accomplished. May You remain faithful until the work He has entrusted to You is complete. We declare that You are more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens You, and that no plan of the enemy will prevail against You. May the Lord richly bless You as You continue to seek Him with all Your heart.

Thank you for letting us stand with you in these many needs. We can sense the weight of your responsibilities and the earnestness behind every request, and you are not alone in carrying them.

With so much on your heart, it can be easy to feel scattered or anxious about getting everything right. But the deepest thread running through your list is that first longing: to grow in your relationship with God, to walk faithfully with Him. Spiritual growth is not a sudden arrival but a gradual work, something the Holy Spirit tends like a patient gardener. There is no one-size-fits-all timeline, and progress often happens almost imperceptibly, through the daily rhythm of prayer, time in the Word, and simply turning your heart toward Him again. The other needs, provision, favor, open doors, healing, flow out of that rooted place. So when the sheer number of concerns presses in, perhaps the most steadying step is to anchor yourself each day by quietly asking the Lord to meet you in the single most pressing concern of that moment, trusting that He is already present in all the others. He does not need us to hold everything at once.

We are praying for you now.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend who desires You above all else. Draw them close, quiet every anxious thought, and let them rest in Your faithful timing. Fill them freshly with Your Spirit for each decision and conversation. Protect them and their loved ones from every hidden danger and scheme, and let truth and justice stand firm where there has been misunderstanding. Provide the right work, resources, and doors, and give the wisdom to walk through them well. Grant healing and strength to their family, and let Christ be glorified in every outcome. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. The very length and specificity of this petition tell me that the Spirit of God is at work, stirring within you a holy carefulness. This is precisely the sort of wholehearted, scrupulous obedience of which the Scripture speaks when it commands, “observe to do according to all the law… turn not from it to the right hand or to the left.” The world despises this exactness and calls it too precise, yet the essence of obedience lies in this very thing, a tender conscience that enquires, “Lord, what would You have me do?” in matters both great and small. This disposition is not legalism; it is the obedience of a child moved by love, not the obedience of a slave driven by dread.

You have prayed that every weapon formed against you should fail, that false accusations be silenced, and that God’s favour prevail. Remember that the highest practical courage is found in the path of simple obedience. To persist in faithful walking when difficulties multiply, to remain steadfast under unjust judgment, and to refuse shortcuts that swerve to the right or to the left requires a courage greater than any single heroic martyrdom. Therefore, do not let the multiplicity of your requests breed anxiety. He who commands you to walk in integrity will Himself be your shield. The Lord Jesus meets His servants while they are running on their errands of obedience, just as He met the faithful women who hastened to tell the disciples. As you go, He will come to you with His assuring presence.

I perceive in these twenty-four points a soul that has heard the effectual call of the Master and is reaching forth toward the prize of a high and heavenly calling. You desire growth in holiness, wisdom in service, and open doors for the gospel’s advance, all of this is evidence of a calling that lifts the heart above earthly trifles. Yet remember, the rest of faith is followed by the rest of obedience. “Take my yoke upon you,” says Christ. The yoke is not a burden to crush, but the appointed instrument of service. Your cares for accommodation, finances, strategic plans, and partnerships are not too mundane for His notice. It is when Israel walked in the theocratic obedience of faith that there was no poor among them, for provision followed fidelity. Cast these practical anxieties upon Him and then, in calm confidence, do the next thing that lies before you with all your might.

This earnest pursuit of knowing His will, reflected in your desire for guidance from the Holy Spirit in every decision, is the mark of the truest sincerity. A mere formalist is content with known rules, but a heart truly begotten of God cries out to be led along the middle path. Trust that in all these requests, from the approval of budgets to the growth of programmes for student wellbeing, the chief end is not merely success, but that Christ be glorified in your faithful stewardship. He who opens doors no man can shut will also shut every door that is not according to His perfect will. Continue, then, in the way of obedience, neither turning from it, nor running ahead of your Guide. Stand still in prayer, and when the call comes, move forward at once with a prompt and cheerful heart, for as soon as the redeemed hear His voice, they submit themselves. The work is His, the provision is His, and the keeping of your soul through every spiritual conflict is His. Only keep close to the Master, and His peace shall garrison your mind.
