The desire for a home, for a safe and peaceful place where your family can be together and blessed, is something that resonates deeply. You are asking for provision, for favor, for things that would make life comfortable and secure. It is not wrong to bring these desires before God. He is the one who has existed from everlasting to everlasting, the one to whom we pray, and He cares about the needs of His children.
When you speak of a secret domain and a queen castle, consider what Scripture holds out as the truest secret place. It is not a building hidden away, but the reality of dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, abiding under the shadow of the Almighty. This is where you make God your dwelling place, where your life is hid with Christ in God. It is a life of conscious fellowship with Him. In that place He becomes your refuge and fortress, and you do not need to be afraid. This is the dwelling that cannot be taken away.
Many people seek the blessing. You remember how Esau desperately wanted his father's blessing, even seeking it with tears. Yet he missed the place of repentance and the deeper covenant of faith that came through Abraham. His desire was for the good things, but he had already despised the birthright that carried the true promise. The blessing God promised Abraham was not ultimately about land or possessions, but about a relationship of faith. God said, "In blessing I will bless thee and multiply thee." Those who share the faith of Abraham enter into that covenant through Jesus Christ. The blessing is not just a list of things; it is a life that becomes rich and filled with God’s own promise.
A physical home can be a wonderful gift. To have a place of privacy, a room for your daughter to find rest, and a deck for a garden are all blessings that a generous Father can provide. But the greater reality is that the Lord would grant you to be strengthened by His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ might truly settle down and make Himself at home in your heart. Is your heart a place where He feels comfortable, or is there a tension there? When He is fully at home within, that is the foundation for every other blessing.
Pray for those practical needs and for favor. Bring every request before Him, trusting that He can provide in ways you cannot yet see. But seek first this deeper blessing: that your life would be hidden in His, that He would be your true dwelling place.
