We lift this request to the Lord with grateful hearts, recognizing that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. Father, we thank You for this opportunity and ask that You guide this individual in their decision-making process. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that You grant them clarity and peace as they seek Your will in this matter.
Lord, we ask that You open the right doors and close those that are not aligned with Your purpose for their life. Help them to discern whether this job is part of Your plan for their growth, provision, and testimony. Remind them that their ultimate security and identity are found in You alone, as it says in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We also pray for wisdom in how this opportunity may impact their walk with You, their family, and their ability to serve others. May they not be swayed by worldly desires for success or security but instead seek first Your Kingdom. Father, we ask that You surround them with godly counsel and confirm Your will through Your Word and the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
If this job is Your will, we pray for favor in the eyes of those making the decision. If it is not, we trust that You have something better prepared. We rebuke any spirit of anxiety or fear that may try to cloud their judgment, for Your Word declares in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
May this individual rest in the assurance that You are their Provider, and Your plans for them are good, as Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We commit this decision into Your hands, trusting that You will direct their steps according to Your perfect will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
