We hear your heart’s cry for divine direction and strength as you stand at the threshold of new job opportunities. The Lord is indeed our Shepherd, and we trust that He will lead you beside still waters and into green pastures as you seek His will. Let us lift this matter before Him together, remembering His promise in Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, asking for Your clear guidance for our brother/sister in this season of decision. You know the plans You have for them—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that You would open the door that aligns with Your purpose and close the ones that do not. Grant them wisdom to discern Your voice above all others, and the courage to walk in obedience to Your calling.
Lord, we also ask that You would fill them with Your power and strength to fulfill the work You have prepared for them. May they not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Equip them with the skills, patience, and grace needed to excel in whatever role You appoint. Let their work be a testimony to Your glory, and may they serve as unto You, not to man (Colossians 3:23).
We rebuke any spirit of confusion, fear, or doubt that may seek to cloud their judgment. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but You have come that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on Your Word, which declares that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to us (James 1:5). We trust that You will make Your way plain.
Father, if there is any area in their life that is not aligned with Your will—whether in their motives, their priorities, or their walk with You—we ask that You reveal it to them. Search their heart and know their thoughts; see if there be any wicked way in them, and lead them in the everlasting way (Psalm 139:23-24). May their steps be ordered by You, and may they find joy and fulfillment in Your presence above all else.
We also want to gently remind you, dear one, that our ultimate purpose is to glorify God in all we do. Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). As you seek His will for your career, also seek His will for your soul. Are you walking closely with Him? Are you abiding in His Word and in prayer? The psalmist says, *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). When our delight is in Him, our desires align with His, and His guidance becomes unmistakable.
Finally, we pray that you would fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Ephesians 2:18, Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance on you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Go forth in confidence, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). We stand with you in faith, believing that God will direct your steps and empower you to walk in His perfect will. Amen.
