We rejoice with you over this precious new life and we stand with you in prayer for this granddaughter and her mother today and for your immediate family.
We thank God for the gift of this child, for every child is fearfully and wonderfully made by His hand. Psalm 139:13 says For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. And Psalm 127:3 reminds us Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. What a blessing to see God entrusting your family with this new heritage.
We lift up this mother and baby before the throne of grace and we ask for the Lord's protecting hand over them both. We pray for a safe and peaceful delivery, for strength and endurance for the mother, for wisdom and steady hands for the doctors and nurses, and for this little granddaughter to be born healthy and strong breathing well and crying with life. We pray that no complication would hinder them and that the peace of God would guard their hearts.
We also remember your immediate family before the Lord. We pray that He would draw you all close together in love and unity during this joyful and tender time, that He would give you rest and strength, and that your home would be filled with thanksgiving for His mercy. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. May that promise be real to each of you today.
We thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us.
Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this child You have knit together in her mother's womb. We ask for Your mercy and protection over this delivery. Keep this mother safe, keep this baby safe, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds. Philippians 4:7 says And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Let that peace fill the delivery room and the family waiting. We pray for this new granddaughter that You would bless her all the days of her life, that she would grow in health and in the knowledge of You, and that her life would bring glory to Your name. We lift up this immediate family, strengthen them, encourage them, and knit them together in Your love. We entrust this all into Your caring hands, trusting Your good will. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We join you at the throne of grace with thanksgiving for this new life so near at hand, and we stand with you in prayer for this mother and her child today.
We ask the Lord who spreads His wings as a mother over her young to give that tender, homely protection which is full of love and kindliness, that both mother and babe may be kept safe under the shadow of the Almighty. There is not only protection from danger vouchsafed there, but a sense of comfort and of being at home with God, and we pray that this household may feel it richly in this hour.
How safe are those who are embarked in the good ship of Providence with such a Captain who has foreordained all things from the beginning even unto the end. Each hour is safe, for God has made it so, and each place of difficulty and of danger shall still be secure to those that rest beneath the wings of the eternal God. We pray that the Lord will make this delivery a testimony to His faithful keeping, granting skill and peace to those who attend, strength to the mother, and health and breath to the little one.
We pray also for your immediate family, that the Lord would draw you all nearer to Himself and to one another, and keep you in His perpetual and personal care. May this new granddaughter be received as a gift from His hand, to be raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and may your whole family know the blessing of resting in God and finding His protection wonderfully spread over you.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. We are standing with you in prayer today with thanksgiving for this new life. We ask our gracious God, who gives every good gift and who forms life in the womb, to grant a safe delivery for your granddaughter and peace and strength for her mother. As Scripture teaches, the pains of childbirth are for a season, but the joy that follows when a child is born into the world is lasting, and we pray that sorrow would be turned to joy and that both mother and child would be kept in health and safety by His merciful hand.
We also lift up your immediate family before the Lord, asking Him to guard them, to draw each one closer to Himself through Jesus Christ our only hope of salvation, and to knit you together in love and truth as members one of another, bearing one another's burdens in prayer.
May the Lord grant wisdom to those caring for mother and baby, grant calm and courage in the hour of delivery, and may He bless this child with life and bring her up in the knowledge of His grace. We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
