Let us first thank our Lord Jesus Christ for bringing you both together in friendship and fellowship. It is encouraging to hear that your friendship began well and that you both attend the same church. We will pray for wisdom and guidance for both of you during this time.
Remember, the Bible tells us in Proverbs 17:17 WEB, A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity. True friendship involves consistent love and support, especially during challenging times. It is essential to communicate openly and honestly, as Ephesians 4:15 WEB says, speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ.
However, we must also recognize that everyone faces personal struggles, and it is possible that your friend is going through something she is not yet ready to share. In times like these, we should extend grace and patience, just as God does with us. Colossians 3:13 WEB reminds us to bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her friendship. Lord, we ask that you grant them both wisdom and guidance during this time. Help them to communicate openly and honestly, and to extend grace and patience to one another.
Father, if there are any personal struggles that your daughter is facing, we pray that you give her the strength and courage to share them with her friend, so that they can support each other in prayer and love. Help them to bear with one another and forgive each other, just as Christ has forgiven us. We pray against any action or behavior that does not align with your will.
Lord, we also pray for our sister, that you grant her peace and comfort during this time. Help her to trust in you and in your timing, knowing that you are always working for the good of those who love you and are called according to your purpose.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
In closing, let us encourage you to continue to be a good friend, to pray for her, and to trust in God's timing. It is our hope that your friendship will grow stronger and that God will use it for His glory. Keep pursuing God together, and remember that our ultimate relationship and friendship is our fellowship with Christ. If you have not already, make sure to share the gospel with your friend, reminding her that it is only prayer in Jesus name that we have access to God.
