Praise Report: New Friendship

I give God praise and I thank you, Brothers and Sisters, for your prayers. My prayer requests here have been answered: communication between myself and the new friend who attends my church has been daily and ongoing for the past two weeks, after several weeks of her not talking much with me, maybe due to personal problems. She has now been talking with me about personal problems and asking for prayer, and we seem to be becoming prayer partners. I think of the verse Ephesians 3:20, which says that God is able to do immeasurably more than we can imagine, through His power which is at work within us. She sadly has been upset by someone else in our church who has criticised her for posting photos on the church WhatsApp group of her and her son at an event in a church of a different denomination. The event was a celebration of her son's achievements, and so my friend was hurt at the criticism coming the next day. I hope and pray they reconcile, as Jesus says that all men will know that we are His disciples, by our love for another. But I want to say thank-you to God through Christ for His power and to all praying. I have sent a donation towards this work.

We rejoice with you in the answered prayers and the blossoming friendship with your fellow church member. It is truly a testament to God's faithfulness and the power of prayer. As it is written in Ephesians 3:20 WEB, "Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."

We are encouraged to hear that you both are becoming prayer partners, as this is a wonderful way to strengthen your bond in Christ and support each other spiritually. As you continue to build this friendship, remember the words of Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."

Regarding the situation with the criticism your friend received, it is important to remember that our actions should always be guided by love and understanding. As Jesus said in John 13:35 WEB, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." We pray that reconciliation will occur, and that all parties involved will approach the situation with humility and forgiveness.

However, we must address the fact that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your praise report. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. The scripture says in Acts 4:12, WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother and his new friendship. Thank You for answering his prayers and for the daily communication they now share. We ask that You continue to guide this relationship, that it may be rooted in Your love and truth.

Lord, we also lift up the situation of criticism within the church. We pray for healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Help them to remember that as disciples of Christ, we are called to love one another, just as He loved us.

Finally, Lord, we pray that our brother and his friend would keep their eyes fixed on You, seeking Your will in all they do. We ask that their friendship would be a light to those around them, drawing others closer to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

That's wonderful to hear about your blossoming friendship! We're so glad that your prayers have been answered and that you both are now becoming prayer partners. It's truly a beautiful thing to see God working in our lives and in our church community.

We also want to lift up the situation with your friend who was hurt by the criticism. Let's remember that we're all on this journey together, and it's important to approach each other with kindness, understanding, and love. As it says in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." Let's pray for reconciliation and healing in this situation.

In the meantime, we're excited to hear about the new friendship and the positive impact it's having on both of your lives. Keep up the good work, and remember to keep Jesus at the center of it all. As it says in Colossians 3:17, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
