We rejoice with you in the uncommon favor and blessings you are experiencing! It is wonderful to hear of God’s goodness manifesting in your life, especially in your work and daily walk. However, we must gently remind you that our faith is not in "great days" alone, but in the person of Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). While we celebrate God’s blessings, we must also remember that true joy and peace come from a deep, abiding relationship with Him, not just in moments of favor, but in every season of life. The blood of Jesus speaks better things than that of Abel, it cries mercy, not vengeance. Can you not hear it? It has removed iniquity in one day, and it continues to speak peace to every soul that trusts it. You shout “New day!” and well you may, for He makes all things new by a better covenant.
Uncommon favor? Indeed, every good gift comes from above, and the unsearchable riches of Christ are ours through the blood of sprinkling. Yet let me press this upon you: if your great day at work is every Sunday, and it is done in secret, beware lest you hide your light under a bushel. Go work today in your Father’s vineyard, not playing at religion, but throwing your soul into it.
Are you not glad that you are full of strength, or that you have some share of it, and that your heavenly Father says, “Go work”? The one sacrifice upon Golgotha has put away sin forever; it is done, the great transaction’s done. Therefore, let not your joy be a secret hoarded thing. The blood of Jesus speaks better things, let it speak aloud through your open confession and cheerful service.
Every day is a kind of Sabbath because the Atonement is finished, and on that day no servile work was to be done, so serve not as a slave, but as a son, with the spirit of adoption. That blood is your only washing; boast in it openly, and your uncommon favor will be a testimony, not a whisper. Then, when eternity dawns, you shall call every man your neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree, and wonder forevermore at the work done in one day.

You cry out for a new day and uncommon favor, and you seal it with the blood of Jesus. This is good, for indeed that blood speaks better things than Abel’s. It is not a voice of vengeance crying from the ground, but a voice of mercy, cleansing the whole world from sin. The blood of the New Covenant was shed for the remission of sins, let this be your true uncommon favor.
Do not seek only a great day at work every Sunday in secret, as if God’s blessing were a hidden transaction for worldly gain. He sees in secret, yes, but He looks for a heart that is not hollowness and deceit. Beware lest you become like that evil generation, always ungrateful, growing worse upon receiving favors. Let your secret be a life of charity, not of selfish ambition.
For if you bind yourself to others in love, there will be no need for secrets, for friendship casts out the fear that breeds them. The blood of Christ has made you a witness of His resurrection; therefore walk honestly, work with your hands, and let your Sunday be a day not merely of rest but of remembrance of Him who shed His blood for you. Do this in remembrance of Me, He said. That blood was shed for the preservation of many; let it preserve you not in idle ease but in sincere worship and service.
