We join you in rejoicing over new brothers and sisters in Christ and we agree with you in prayer for their protection, growth and grounding in the love of Christ. It is beautiful that you are commending new disciples to God as Jesus Himself did and as Paul did for every church.

We pray as Jesus prayed, I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one, John 17:15. We ask the Father to keep these new believers from sin and from the schemes of the evil one and from evil people and deceiving spirits, for we know the whole world lies in the power of the evil one, Rev 12:9, and we pray Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, Matt 6:13.

We pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, Eph 1:17, that the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened, Eph 1:18, and that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith, to the end that they, being rooted and grounded in love, Eph 3:17, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know Christ's love which surpasses knowledge, that they may be filled with all the fullness of God, Eph 3:18-19. We ask that He would grant them to worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers, John 4:23.

We thank God that it is He who causes the growth and we stand on the promise that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ, Phil 1:6. We pray they will be established on the foundation you mentioned, leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let us press on to perfection, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God, of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment, Heb 6:1-2, being born of water and the Spirit and continuing steadfastly in the apostles teaching and fellowship. We pray they will grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, 2 Thess 3:1, and be received with joy and bear fruit.

We also lift up your wife before the throne of grace with you. We pray as Scripture exhorts us to make petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks for all men, 1 Tim 2:1, knowing this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:3-4. We know the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. We ask that the Lord would draw her to Himself, open her eyes to the truth that Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and that she would call upon the name of Jesus, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.

We thank you for praying in Jesus name, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father and it is a joy to agree together according to Matt 18:19-20 and to trust the Shepherd who does not will that one of these little ones should perish, Matt 18:14.

Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for every new birth into Your family. Keep these new disciples from the evil one, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, fill them with wisdom and revelation, root them and ground them in love, establish them in Your Word, protect them from deception and from those who hold a form of godliness but deny its power, 2 Tim 3:5, and cause them to walk in holiness and obedience as they are taught to observe all that Jesus commanded. Let Your Word run swiftly through them and through us to many more. Save our dear sister, this wife, draw her by Your Spirit, grant her repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, and build this marriage for Your glory. We entrust them all to You who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, Eph 3:20, and we ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus our Lord, Amen.

We are so encouraged by your heart for these new brothers and sisters and by how faithfully you are lifting them before the Lord. To want them protected, rooted in love, and truly knowing God, and to keep entrusting their growth to Him while you keep praying, is a beautiful way to love them.

What you describe fits what we have seen so often, that spiritual growth is gradual and often uneven. It happens over a lifetime with highs and lows, not all at once. God is the one who causes the growth, and we get to stay faithful in the simple, steady means He uses, time in His Word, prayer for ourselves and for one another, and worship together where we are reminded we are not alone but part of His people. Each person grows a little differently, so the best help is often just staying close, patiently walking alongside them as the Spirit works in His timing.

A next step that may help is to keep a short, sustainable rhythm. Choose a few names each day to bring before the Lord by name, and as you have opportunity, gently connect those new believers to regular fellowship where Word, prayer and worship are part of life together. For your wife, continue to love her well and quietly entrust her to the Lord in prayer, trusting His kindness and patience.

Father, we lift these new disciples to You and ask You to keep them, to give them a growing hunger for Your Word and for prayer, and to root them deep in Your love. Cause the growth only You can give. We also lift this dear wife to You and ask You to draw her to Yourself in Your mercy and timing. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We rejoice to join you in prayer before the throne of grace for these newborn souls, and we give thanks that the Lord has been pleased to make them new creatures in Christ Jesus. It is not a mending of the old nature but an absolute new creation, and where that new life is given the expulsive power of a new affection to God drives out the love of sin. He who hath begun a good work in them will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, and we may with confidence commend their growth to Him who alone giveth the increase.

We commend these young disciples to our faithful Father as Jesus prayed for His own. We ask that He would keep them from the evil one and deliver them from sin and from the power of the evil one and from evil men, according to John 17:15 and Matthew 6:13, and preserve them by the power of God through faith unto salvation. We pray that the Father of glory would give unto them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of their understanding being enlightened they may know the hope of His calling and the riches of His grace, as in Ephesians 1:17. May they be rooted and grounded in love and strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in their hearts by faith, and that they may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ. Grant them to worship the Father in spirit and in truth, to hunger for the sincere milk of the Word and to be established upon that good foundation of repentance from dead works and faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms and laying on of hands, being born of water and of the Spirit and built up in Christ.

We pray also that the Word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified and may run quickly and be received with joy among many, as you have asked from 2 Thessalonians 3:1, and that these new believers may themselves be made a blessing to others, for the Lord delights to make His saved people to be a blessing in their families and in the church.

And for your wife we make earnest supplication, for there is but one way of salvation for all. The Scripture saith, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else. Salvation is by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus alone, to look unto Him and to trust in Him. Without faith there is no salvation, and whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. We pray that the Holy Spirit may graciously open her eyes to see her need and her Saviour, and incline her heart to look unto Jesus and be saved with an everlasting salvation, that she may bow to His crown and receive Him as Lord and Saviour. We plead the promise that the Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, and we ask this in the prevailing name of Jesus Christ our Lord, whose honor is engaged to save the meanest of His sheep who trust in Him. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for new brothers and sisters in Christ is good and right, and I join you in bringing it before God who alone gives the growth. You do well to entrust them to Him who began a good work and will complete it, while still commending them to Him in prayer as the Lord Himself prayed for His own in John 17 and as Paul prayed without ceasing for every church.

I pray with you that the Father of glory would give to these new disciples the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of their hearts would be enlightened to know the hope of His calling and the greatness of His power toward us who believe. May they be rooted and grounded in love, strengthened in the inner person by His Spirit, and enabled to grasp with all the saints the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of Christ. May they learn to worship in spirit and truth, to love the Word and grow in it daily, and to walk in the new and living way that Christ has opened for us through His blood.

I ask the Lord to establish them on the true foundation, repentance from dead works and faith toward God, the teaching of baptisms and laying on of hands, the hope of resurrection and eternal judgment, and to bring them to be born of water and the Spirit and to be kept blameless. Keep them, Lord, from sin and from the evil one, from evil people and from the deceit of the enemy who deceives the whole world. Deliver them from temptation and preserve them unto Your heavenly kingdom, for that is true preservation, to be kept faithful here and to shine forth there. Let them know that salvation in Christ Jesus is so great a salvation, not a deliverance from earthly trouble only, but rescue from death, from the power of the devil, and entrance into everlasting life.

I pray also as you asked that the word of the Lord would spread quickly and be honored and received, and that God would guard His people from evil. And I lift up before Him your wife, asking that God who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and who is patient not wishing that any should perish, would draw her to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved. May He grant her repentance and faith as you continue to pray and to walk faithfully before her.

Continue steadfast in prayer and in the teaching of the Word, giving thanks in the name of Jesus, and trusting that He who has called these new believers will keep them.

Seeing your burden for new believers is encouraging and it lines up with how Jesus prayed for His own and how Paul prayed for every church, that God Himself would keep them and cause them to grow.

It is right that you are entrusting their growth to God. He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Our part is to plant and water and pray, but God gives the increase. When someone is in Christ he becomes a new creation. The old life has passed away and all things have become new. That new life has a new beginning and a new relationship with God, and it needs to be rooted and grounded in love so it can stand.

I join you in praying for these new brothers and sisters according to the Scriptures you mentioned. That the Father would keep them from the evil one and deliver them from evil, as Jesus prayed that they would not be taken out of the world but protected within it. That He would guard them from sin and from evil people and from the work of the enemy, and that no scheme of the adversary would deceive them. That He would give them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened to know His hope and His power toward us who believe. That they would be strengthened in the inner man, rooted and grounded in love, and able to grasp the breadth and depth of Christ's love. That they would learn to worship the Father in spirit and in truth. That they would have grace to receive and understand the Word, to be born of water and the Spirit, and to be established in the foundation of repentance from dead works, faith toward God, the teaching of baptisms and the laying on of hands. These first principles are the foundation, and from there they can go on to maturity as God permits. Pray also that the word of the Lord would spread quickly and be honored among them and through them, and that they would be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men, for the Lord is faithful to establish and guard them.

For your wife, I pray with you that she would come to salvation. God desires that all would come to repentance and that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. There is salvation in no other, for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom. Salvation is not by our works, lest anyone should boast. It is the gift of God by grace through faith, through the blood applied by faith, and outside of that there is no other hope. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all, and the offer is open to whosoever will believe and call upon Him. Today is the day of salvation, and I pray she will not put off what God is offering but will receive it. Continue to pray for her and live before her as an example of the believer, for the Scripture says we do not know how God may use our life in Christ to draw an unbelieving spouse to Himself. If an unbelieving spouse is willing to remain, let them remain, and if they are not willing, the believer is not under bondage in such cases, but the breach that comes because of faith in Christ is not the believer's fault.

May the Lord keep you also in His peace as you intercede, confident that He is the shepherd who seeks the one that has gone astray and rejoices to bring it home.
