I have been married for just over a year, she turned to drugs and drinking & now has become a drunk/druggie. I filed for divorce after trying to work out our differences for 6 mths, which she has no desire to get help & has cost me my job and soon my home. We are now beyond being able to make things work between us & I see no other choice but to go our seperate ways now.
After a year of talking with my neighbor, almost daily, about the Lord/Faith,(she has been showing me her faith & explaining, in depth, the parts of the Bible that I didn't understand, which I really enjoy and with her help have
been "digging" into my own faith more) kids, ect... because of this common link with Christ, we have became very close friends & are now wanting to move into a serious, healthy, heart-felt relationship, as in Gods plan for a successful marriage and family.
As you can see we/I have a huge problem, I am still a married man in the eyes of the Lord, (no matter how long she has been out of the picture, or how much I want to be rid of her lies and deceit) I am not working yet, and about to be homeless.
We both have talked at length about "us" and our future together & we both agree that it is not right to be having "pleasures of the flesh" (meaning anything from kissing/holding hands to any sexual acts of course) no
matter how trying it may get for us, till after my divorce is final, which if my soon to be ex has anything to do with it, will be as long as she can make it.
My request, and what I am asking from everyone is:
Any help that the Lord can give me with getting this divorce over with soon, so I am not tormented by her any
longer with the slanderest games that she is playing.
That she will seek help for her addiction problems and get the rehab that she truly needs & deserves.
That I can find work soon, so that I can stop sliding down hill and make a good life for myself & a family again in the future.
That the Lord Bless us (the neighbor & myself) so that we can put our troubles behind us and become one with
Him in our lives and in our Faith.
