Thank you for sharing openly about what you are going through, and rejoicing with you that you gave your life to Jesus and are continuing in His Word. It is painful to love the Lord and want to read and remember His Word, to want to do simple daily things, and to find your mind and body will not cooperate. We hear your request and we will pray for you.

You asked that we pray for your health if it is His will to heal, trusting that God knows exactly what needs to be healed in your body. That is a right and humble way to pray. We will ask the Lord for your healing according to His perfect will and wisdom, because He knows far better than we do what is most needed.

The Scriptures show that Jesus has power over sickness and infirmity. Matthew connects the healings of Jesus to the prophecy in Isaiah chapter 53 verse 4, that He bore our griefs and infirmities, and that passage is broad enough to include both our spiritual need for forgiveness and our physical sicknesses. When Jesus broke bread He said this is my body broken for you, and we remember that His suffering was for the whole person. He went about doing good and healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people, and He still has that same power in the physical realm and in the spiritual realm.

At the same time the Bible teaches us not to presume that healing will come in every case in the way we ask or in our timing. The apostle Paul prayed three times for the Lord to remove what he called a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet him, and the Lord did not remove it. We do not fully understand why some are healed and others are not. It is wrong to tell someone who is not healed that it must be because of secret sin or because they lack faith. That is like the friends of Job who spoke without knowledge, and it is not scriptural. There is much about healing we do not understand, but we do know that God is able and that healing is still something we can seek from Him today.

We also see in Scripture that healing does not always come in the same way. There is one account where Jesus laid His hands on a blind man and at first the man saw only partially, and then Jesus touched him again and his sight was fully restored. It is the only recorded miracle where the healing came gradually rather than instantly. That reminds us that God often heals through a process. He created our bodies with processes for healing, and those natural processes are still His work and are still divine. Sometimes healing is immediate and can even be felt in the moment, like the woman who had suffered with bleeding for twelve years and knew at once when she touched Jesus that she was healed. Sometimes it is slow and quiet, and sometimes the deepest healing God does is in the mind and heart, bringing peace and restoration to wounds and scars inside even while the body is still weak. God is in the business of restoration, working against the consequences of sin and brokenness in this world.

We will also pray as you asked for fresh fire and hunger for the Lord and for His Word. It is understandable that when memory is difficult, reading feels discouraging. Ask the Lord to meet you right where you are. He can give you a renewed desire for Himself that does not depend on how much you can retain. Even a single verse held in your heart, prayed over and remembered through the day, can nourish you. He can restore and keep you close as you continue to seek Him simply and faithfully.

So we pray for you now, that the Lord who bore our infirmities would lay His hand upon you according to His will, that He would bring healing to your neurological needs in the way and time He knows is best, whether instantly or through a gradual process, and that He would strengthen you for daily life, for speaking, for caring for yourself, and for every simple task that has become hard. We pray that He would lift discouragement and bring healing to your mind and emotions as well as your body, and that He would kindle again a deep hunger for Jesus and for the Scriptures, drawing you close to Him each day. May you know His presence, His mercy, and His power to sustain you, and may you be encouraged as you walk with Him.

We are standing with you in prayer and trusting the Lord's goodness and wisdom over your life.
