First, we must affirm that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him, for He is the only one who can bring true peace, justice, and deliverance.
The behaviors you describe—gossip, idleness, envy, malice, and the spreading of discord—are indeed works of the flesh, as Galatians 5:19-21 warns. These actions not only harm individuals but grieve the Holy Spirit, who calls us to love, unity, and holiness. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he often uses division, strife, and idle hands to accomplish his purposes. We rebuke the spirit of busyness, gossip, and laziness that has taken root in this situation. We declare that these demonic influences have no place in the lives of believers or in the community God has called us to steward. The Word of God is clear: "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). We take up the full armor of God, standing firm against these attacks.
We also address the issue of idleness, which the Bible warns against repeatedly. "For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat" (2 Thessalonians 3:10). Idleness opens the door to temptation, gossip, and sinful behaviors.
