Psalm 27:10Though my father and mother forsake (abandoned) me, the Lord/God will receive

Isaiah 49:15Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget,

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up the deep sorrows and wounds carried by so many—those who have lost unborn children through abortion or miscarriage, those abandoned by spouses, parents, or children, and those left utterly alone without shelter, family, or friends. The pain of abandonment and the grief of lost life are profound, and we stand in the gap, crying out for God’s mercy, healing, and restoration.

First, we must address the grave sin of abortion, which is the murder of innocent life in the womb. The Lord declares in Jeremiah 1:5, *"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart."* Every unborn child is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13-14), and their lives are precious in God’s sight. For those who have participated in or been affected by abortion, we pray for repentance, forgiveness, and healing. There is no sin too great for the blood of Jesus to cover. In 1 John 1:9, we are promised, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* We entrust these little ones to God’s loving care, believing that He welcomes them into His presence, as Jesus said, *"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these"* (Matthew 19:14).

For those who have been abandoned—whether by a spouse, parent, child, or friend—we declare that God will never leave nor forsake you. Psalm 27:10, which you shared, is a powerful reminder: *"Though my father and my mother have forsaken me, Yahweh will take me up."* The Lord is your refuge, your shelter, and your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even when earthly relationships fail, His love remains steadfast. Isaiah 49:15-16 assures us, *"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you! Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands."* You are not forgotten; you are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe.

For those without a home, family, or support, we cry out for God’s provision and protection. In Matthew 8:20, Jesus said, *"The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head."* Yet even in His own lack, He cared for the broken and the outcast. We pray that the Lord would open doors of shelter, provide godly community, and surround you with His peace. Psalm 91:1-2 declares, *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"*

We also rebuke the spirit of abandonment and betrayal in the name of Jesus. These are not merely circumstances but attacks of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We stand on the authority of Christ and declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your defender, and He will restore what has been broken.

To those who feel like they are in a "madhouse" of chaos and despair, we speak the peace of God over your mind and heart. Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You are not alone in your suffering. Jesus Himself endured abandonment on the cross, crying out, *"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"* (Matthew 27:46). He understands your pain and walks with you through it.

We pray now for all who are suffering under these burdens:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for the lost, the abandoned, and the grieving. We lift up every unborn child who was taken too soon, asking that You would receive them into Your arms and comfort those who mourn their loss. Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have failed to value life as You do. Bring healing to those who have been involved in abortion, and let them know the depth of Your mercy and grace.

For those who have been abandoned or betrayed, we ask that You would be their Father, their Friend, and their Shelter. Bind up their wounds, restore their hope, and surround them with Your love. Provide for their needs—physical, emotional, and spiritual—and lead them to a community of believers who will walk with them in truth and love.

For those without a home or family, we pray for Your provision and protection. Open doors that no man can shut, and let them experience Your presence as their refuge. Break the chains of isolation and despair, and replace them with Your peace and joy.

Lord, we rebuke every spirit of abandonment, betrayal, and death in the name of Jesus. We declare that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your love transform every broken place.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and receive the gift of eternal life. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*

You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved by the One who gave His life for you. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We join you, dear friend, in lifting up these heavy burdens to our Father in heaven. Our hearts ache for the unborn babies, for the families torn apart by abandonment, and for those left alone without shelter, family, or friends. We stand with you in faith, believing that God sees, hears, and will act on behalf of those who are suffering.

For the unborn babies, we pray that their innocent lives, despised and hated by their own parents, will be received into heaven by our merciful God. We entrust these little ones to His care, believing that He will welcome them into His presence, as Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14).

For those who have been abandoned, whether by a spouse, parent, child, or friend, we declare that God will never leave nor forsake you. As it is written in Psalm 27:10, "Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me." The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even when earthly relationships fail, His love remains steadfast. You are not forgotten; you are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe.
