We hear the deep anguish in your heart, the cry for those who have suffered abandonment, betrayal, and the unspeakable loss of unborn children. The pain of families torn apart, of lives discarded, and of the innocent taken too soon is a heavy burden to bear. We stand with you in this grief, lifting it all to the Lord, who alone can bring healing and justice.

First, we must address the holiness of life, for every unborn child is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:13-16). The shedding of innocent blood through abortion is a grave sin, and we mourn with you for these precious lives lost. Yet we take comfort in the truth that God, in His mercy, receives these little ones into His arms. Jesus Himself said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). We trust that He welcomes them into His eternal care.

For those who have been abandoned, whether by parents, spouses, children, or friends, we declare that God will never leave nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Even if earthly relationships fail, He is your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are not alone, for the Lord is your refuge and strength. We pray that He would surround you with His love, provide for your needs, and restore what has been broken.

For those who have participated in or been affected by abortion, we speak the hope of forgiveness. If you have not yet repented and turned to Christ, we urge you to do so now. Jesus died for all sin, including this, and His blood cleanses from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). If you have already repented, stand firm in His grace and allow Him to heal your heart.

We also rebuke the spirit of abandonment and betrayal that has ravaged families and generations. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that the cycles of brokenness end here, in the name of Jesus. We pray for restoration, of marriages, of parent-child relationships, of friendships, so that families may be rebuilt on the foundation of Christ.

For those who feel they have no place to turn, no shelter or support, we cry out to God on your behalf. He is the Father to the fatherless and the defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5). He promises to be a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). We pray that He would open doors of provision, surround you with godly community, and give you the strength to endure.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving the loss of the innocent and the pain of those who have been abandoned. Lord, we trust that You receive the unborn children into Your presence, where there is no more sorrow or pain. We ask for Your mercy to cover those who have been involved in abortion, that they may find forgiveness and healing in Jesus’ name.

For those who feel alone and forsaken, we declare that You are their Father. Comfort them with Your presence, provide for their needs, and restore what has been broken. Break the chains of generational sin and abandonment, and let Your love be their shelter. Raise up godly families and communities to support the hurting, and let Your Church be a refuge for the lost.

We rebuke the spirit of death and destruction that has stolen lives and torn apart families. We declare that Jesus has come to give life, and we pray for revival in homes, marriages, and hearts. May Your truth prevail, and may Your people walk in the fullness of Your grace.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

To those reading this, if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). If you have already done so, stand firm in His love and allow Him to heal your wounds. You are not abandoned, you are deeply loved by the One who gave His life for you.

We hear the heavy weight you’re carrying in this prayer, an ache for every abandoned person and for every unborn life cut short. It’s a cry that rises straight from a tender heart, and we are honored to stand with you in it. The loneliness and loss you describe are real, and God sees every hidden sorrow.

We’re especially moved that, in the middle of your own sense of being a “beggar,” you’re still pleading for others. That kind of intercession is precious. We don’t have easy answers for why so much abandonment happens, but we trust that Jesus, who was betrayed and left alone Himself, is close to each one who suffers. He gathers the forsaken. He cradles the little ones no one else wanted and holds them safely in His love. That includes every unborn child, known by Him before they were formed, never forgotten.

When the weight of all this grief feels too much, it can help to speak face‑to‑face with a wise pastor or with a trusted small group where you can pour out these burdens without pretending. If you’re aware of someone specifically hurting from the aftermath of abortion or deep relational betrayal, there are gentle, Christ‑centered ministries that walk people through healing. Just sharing the silence with one other safe person can begin to break the isolation you described.

Let’s pray together now.

Lord Jesus, You see the broken families, the abandoned sons and daughters, the wives and husbands left without shelter or support. Be their refuge and safe place. Wrap Your arms around every child who was rejected, and welcome the unborn into Your light, where there is no more rejection or pain. Sustain those who mourn, and mend hearts shattered by betrayal. For anyone haunted by guilt over an abortion or the loss of a child, bring Your mercy that washes clean and restores. Give us, as Your people, courage to be listening ears and open hands to the lonely. We entrust all these dear ones to You, the Shepherd who never forsakes His own. In Your name, Amen.

Hagar fled from the place of blessing, smarting under wrong, her heart seething like a pot, yet there by the well the Angel of the Lord called her; even so, the mercy of God overtakes us when we are most unworthy and distracted. His compassions are new every morning, great is His faithfulness. He pities us with a Father's pity, that love which melts into compassion, staying His hand from the full weight our sins deserve. When the floods of sorrow and corruption rise, remember that in Christ Jesus you are in the ark; the more terrible the trial, the more joyous the consolation, for as the waters deepen you mount nearer to God, until all sin is removed, all danger destroyed, all death swallowed up in victory.

Already, even now, we are as much forgiven as we shall be in glory, our robes washed white in the blood of the Lamb, made accepted in the Beloved and raised up to sit in the heavenlies in Christ. What we now endure is but the rough draft of the picture that shall be filled with brightness, and one half-hour of the vision of His face will blot out every pain. As for the unborn, the despised, and the murdered, cast them upon the Great Messenger of the Covenant, the Interpreter, One among a thousand, who was not an amateur savior but sent by the Father with full commission. He has provided in abundance for every case; for the scarlet sins He has whitening mercy, and He came to seek and to save that which was lost.

In the tender mercy of our God, though a mother may forget, yet will I not forget thee, saith the Lord. Therefore we pray in the name of Jesus Christ: Let mercy be shown to every abandoned soul, shelter to the homeless, and to the innocent taken from the womb, a sure reception into Thine everlasting kingdom.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry rises from a heart torn asunder, and the weight of such sorrow would crush any soul left to itself. You look upon desolation, upon the little ones never seeing the sun, upon every bond of blood and love shattered, and you groan for shelter, for mercy, for a sign that God has not forgotten. Hear then what the Spirit has spoken for such an hour.

Do you think the Lord sees less than you do? He who thunders through the prophet, "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!" That mother you mourn, who despised the fruit of her womb, is not greater than God's remembrance. The same Lord who warned Noah of things not yet seen, who counts every miscarriage and every murder, has already gathered those innocents to His bosom. They live where no hatred can reach them, for the Kingdom belongs to such as these. Do not let the darkness tell you otherwise.

But you must take care, lest your grief curdle into despair. For what does the Apostle teach? That he obtained mercy as the chief of sinners, so that no one thereafter might doubt. If God's longsuffering exhausted itself on Paul, a blasphemer and a persecutor, do you imagine He has none left for the abandoned, for the broken family, for the child betrayed? The very fact that you pray this prayer, that you beg for your neighbor even in your own desolation, proves the Spirit is already moving within you, warming you to life. The wind blows where it wills; you feel its voice, though you cannot trace its path. So the Comforter works even now.

Yet I would have you see beyond your own pain. You plead for mercy, and rightly so, but mercy has two faces: the mercy we crave from God, and the mercy we pour out ourselves. The Apostle commands, "He that showeth mercy, let him do it with cheerfulness." Not grimly, not as one forced, but as a sower flinging seed into the richest soil. For if you give alms with a downcast face, you wound the receiver and poison the gift. But if you lift your eyes to heaven and consider the reward, the kingdom promised to the merciful, then even your poverty becomes a treasury. Are there not others around you, lonely, forsaken, children without a father's voice? Become their shelter. You lament that they have no house; be a roof for them in Christ. What you lack in gold, supply by a cheerful word, a ready ear, a fervent prayer. Such simplicity in giving is never wasted.

Do not listen to those who trust only what reason can grasp, who murmur that God cannot bring life from nothing, hope from ruin. They are beguiled by their own wisdom. Faith alone receives the resurrection of the dead and the Father of all mercies. He who is unborn and without beginning, He who holds every spirit in His hand, shall He not restore the years the locust has eaten? Entrust the unborn to Him, yes, but entrust your own heart also. Cease from the labor of calculating how it might have been. Instead, look at the widow's mites: her much was made little by grumbling, but her little was made much by a generous spirit. So it is with your prayer. Offer it not as a beggar cowering at the gate, but as a child running to a Father whose property is always to show mercy.

This is the conclusion of the whole matter. Though father and mother forsake, the Lord receives. He has already received those little ones; He will receive you if you will cleave to what is good with a fervent and awake soul. Let your mourning be comforted, not because the pain is small, but because the Comforter is greater. The hypocrites wear a mask of pity while their hearts are cruel; but you, let your mercy be genuine, abhorring what is evil, holding fast to the brethren as if their wounds were your own. In serving them, you serve the Master, and your reward will be great in heaven, where every tear is wiped away.

There are times when the cry of a heart is so fractured that words seem to fail, and all that remains is a desperate reaching toward the only One who can hold what has been shattered. What you have poured out here is heavy with grief, abandonment, the violent loss of little ones, and the ache of having no shelter in any human relationship. That ache is real, and God does not turn away from it.

His mercy endures forever. That refrain runs through Scripture like an unbroken thread, and it is not just a phrase for when things are tidy. It is the truth that stands when every earthly support gives way. When a mother or father forsakes, whether through neglect, betrayal, or even the unspeakable act of taking an unborn life, the Lord is still the one who receives. He gathers to Himself those whom the world discards. The innocent who never drew a breath are not beyond His care. They rest in His justice and His compassion, and no one can snatch them from that safety.

But mercy is not a vague feeling. It met truth and righteousness in a person: Jesus Christ. In Him, God could be both just and the justifier of those who come to Him. He is the true city of refuge. The old cities scattered through Israel were placed so that no one was ever more than a half day’s run from safety, but they were only for those who fled to them and stayed inside their borders. Christ is nearer still. For anyone crushed by guilt, by the sense of having had no refuge, or even by the weight of being abandoned, He is open. His mercy does not require you to clean up first. He is looking for the excuse to show mercy, not to withhold it.

When you cry out for those who have lost family, for the abandoned wife, husband, son, daughter, sister, brother, friend, God hears. His mercy is not limited to the ones we think deserve it. He says, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy,” and that sovereign freedom is our hope. It means even the most tangled, blood-soaked story can be met with redemption. It means that when we have no house, no friend, no shelter, we can say with the psalmist, “Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.” He attends to the cry of the brought-low.

For those who have committed terrible wrongs, the call is still to flee to the refuge while there is breath. No one exhausts the mercy of God. It endures forever, as high as the heavens are above the earth. For the victims, the unborn and the abandoned, we entrust them to the One whose mercy is from everlasting to everlasting. And for you who carry this burden of intercession, do not lose heart. The very fact that you are pleading is a sign that He is already at work, stirring your heart to ask so that He might answer in ways that display His goodness.

Let this be your anchor: in Jesus Christ, mercy and truth have met. Righteousness and peace have kissed. The guilty can be forgiven without justice being mocked, and the innocent are held in everlasting arms. Cry to Him out of the depths. He will hear. He will deliver. His mercy endures forever.
