We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the deep sorrow and grief expressed in this plea. The loss of unborn babies, the pain of abandonment, and the devastation of families torn apart by death, betrayal, or rejection are wounds that only God can heal. We stand in the gap for those who are suffering, those who feel forsaken, and those who have no refuge but the Lord.

The Word of God assures us that even when earthly parents forsake us, the Lord will take us up. "Though my father and my mother forsake me, Yahweh will take me up." (Psalm 27:10 WEB). This is a promise we cling to for those who feel utterly alone. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is the Father to the fatherless and the defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5). For those who have lost children, whether through miscarriage, abortion, or tragedy, we entrust these little ones into the arms of Jesus, who said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14 WEB). We believe that God, in His infinite mercy, receives these precious souls into His eternal care.

Yet we must also address the grave sin of abortion, which is the murder of innocent life. The Lord hates the shedding of innocent blood (Proverbs 6:17), and we must repent on behalf of those who have taken the lives of their unborn children, whether out of fear, coercion, or despair. We pray for conviction, repentance, and healing for all who have been involved in this grievous act. For those who have suffered the trauma of abortion, we declare the forgiveness and restoration found in Christ. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB).

For those who feel abandoned, whether by a spouse, parent, child, or friend, we declare that God will never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray for provision for those without shelter, for comfort for those in despair, and for the restoration of broken relationships. But we must also rebuke the spirit of abandonment and betrayal that seeks to destroy families. Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and those who break it without biblical grounds bring destruction upon themselves and their children. We pray for repentance and reconciliation where possible, and for strength to endure where it is not.

To those who feel they have no one to turn to, we remind you that Jesus Christ is the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Only in Christ can true healing, hope, and eternal life be found.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with tears and trembling, lifting up those who are suffering. We ask for Your mercy upon the unborn who have been lost, that You would receive them into Your arms. Comfort those who mourn, provide for those in need, and restore what has been broken. Break the chains of abandonment, betrayal, and despair. Bring repentance where there is sin, and healing where there is pain. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your love be a refuge for the broken. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear the heavy ache in your words, so many layers of loss and abandonment. Your heart is clearly burdened for the unborn, for shattered families, and for all who feel they have no one to turn to. That kind of grief is real, and it is not too much for God to hold. He sees every life, however brief, and every person cast aside. We join you in bringing these needs before Him, not because we have easy answers, but because He is both just and merciful.

The loss of a baby, whether through miscarriage, abortion, or violence, leaves a profound mark. It is natural to cry out for justice and for mercy. We trust that each of these little ones is safe in the arms of a loving God, and that He will one day wipe away every tear. For those who have been abandoned, children, spouses, friends, and for those without house or family, we pray that God would be their shelter and their steadfast companion, even when people fail.

If you personally know someone facing homelessness or extreme isolation, a practical next step is to help them connect with a local church or a Christian community ministry that can offer tangible support and a place to belong. Grief shared is often easier to carry.

Lord Jesus, we lift up every unborn child whose life was cut short; receive them into Your peace. Comfort the mothers and fathers who mourn, and break the cycles of abandonment and violence. For those who have lost their families or have no refuge, be their hiding place and provide the shelter they so desperately need. Sustain this dear prayer partner, who carries these sorrows before You. Give them strength, and deepen their trust in Your unfailing compassion. In Your name we pray, Amen.

The waters of Marah are bitter tonight, but there is a tree which, if it be cast into them, shall make them sweet. That tree is the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. You speak of little ones despised or cut off from the womb, of families shattered, of hearts echoing with abandonment. Yet there is no such gulf between the earth and Heaven as your gloomy thoughts suggest. Heaven must be in us before we can be in Heaven, and while we are yet in this wilderness, we may spy out the land and eat of the clusters of Eshcol.

Gather up these tears, for every one is precious to Him who binds the sea in the hollow of His hand. "He that has mercy on them", remember that word, shall follow them with mercy all the days of their lives, yes, even when their days are cut short by the cruel hand of man. Can a mother forget her nursing child? She may forget, but the Lord cannot. We see the footstep of murder, but before that footstep fell, there was the footstep of mercy going before. The God of our mercy prevents us, goes ahead of us, and those helpless ones are taken swiftly into the presence where they shall never hunger, neither thirst any more, for the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them.

The fact is this: Heaven is God, fully enjoyed. It is the chief bliss, the Heaven of Heaven, to see the face of Jesus. What a dreadful thing it would be if that face, which is the Heaven of your own soul, should be to any a Hell from which they desire to be hidden! Yet the mercy of this God is tender beyond all human tenderness. It pleads with you now: "The grace of God is boundless, so your sin may be pardoned. The Heaven of God is wide and large, so there is room for you there."

Do not deceive your heart with a false confidence. The first thing God’s mercy will do for you is to turn your face away from sin. It will make you a new creation, with new loves and new hates. It will drive you to your knees. If you would taste this mercy, you must know that you need it as mercy, you must be clean divorced from every confidence except in mercy. Mercy never sells; she always gives gratis. The Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost, and He seeks them even by the death of their fellows, perhaps the snatching of a baby to Heaven is the very means by which Jesus would now seek you, that you might at last cry out, "I have found a ransom!"

In the hour when we believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ, we passed through our Red Sea and the Egyptians of our sins were drowned. Look to Him now. Let your heart take hold upon that promise: "Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me." You cannot climb to Heaven by your own strength, but Heaven can come to you. The Lamb is as compassionate and condescending as ever He was in the days of His flesh, and because He lives to make intercession for the transgressors, there is hope yet, hope for the abandoned, hope for the murderer if he repent, hope for the despairing soul that flees to Christ. He asks no payment; He acts from no motive raised by anything in us, but because He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy. Into that great deep of sovereign love I cast myself, and I bid you cast yourself with me. May the tender mercy of our God, through Jesus Christ, bring your soul into the light of His countenance, for there is a heaven for the broken-hearted, a heaven for the lost and found, and its door stands open now.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You cry out for the unborn, the abandoned, the murdered little ones, and your cry is heard. The mother may forget, the father may despise, but the Lord will receive. Can a woman forget her sucking child? Yet even if she forgets, God will not forget. His mercy is the great deep, and the blood of the innocents cries to heaven, not for vengeance alone, but for compassion. And He who said, “Suffer the little children to come unto Me,” has already gathered these souls to His bosom. The kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these, and their angels always behold the face of the Father. Do not doubt: they are safe.

But I hear more than sorrow in your prayer. I hear a beggar’s voice, pleading for shelter, for mercy, for a house that does not exist on earth. And I ask you: have you become the shelter? Have you become mercy? For nothing incenses God so much as to be pitiless. If you ask mercy for the abandoned, show mercy yourself. Do not only weep for the unborn; stretch out your hand to the living child who has no father, no mother, no friend. Do not only entreat for the dead; become a refuge for the orphan and the outcast. The prayer of the merciful is the prayer that pierces the clouds.

You quote the Psalm and the Prophet rightly: when father and mother forsake, the Lord takes up. But how does He take up? Through you. Through the hands and feet of those who are called by His name. If you fast and pray and cry out for mercy, yet pass by the beggar at your gate, your prayer is unfruitful. The virgins had lamps, but no oil, and oil is mercy. Mercy quenches the fire of hell and brings light to the soul. Without it, every other virtue is unclean.

Do you want God to gather the aborted babies to His heart? He will, for He is good. But see now what He asks of you. “Be merciful, as your Father in heaven is merciful.” This is the work of God, not merely to feel pity, but to act. The child abandoned by its mother you cannot bring back to the womb, but you can feed the child abandoned on the street. The family exterminated you cannot raise from the grave, but you can become family to the lonely. Mercy is not a feeling; it is a fire. Let it burn.

I do not speak to condemn, but to draw you into the very life of God. For God, being alone, created all things out of goodness, out of love to man. And if you would be like Him, you must love not in word but in deed. Pray, yes, with tears, but also with bread. The innocent children of the people entreat God for mercy, because their simplicity moves Him. Become like a child in trust, but also become like the Father in mercy.

So I say to you: let your prayer rise, but let your alms rise higher. Do not let the sun go down on your brother’s need. If you have been wronged, forgive; if you see suffering, heal. God will honor the prayer of the merciful. The unborn are safe in the arms of Him who knitted them in the womb. But the born, the abandoned, the mad, the shelterless, these are your inheritance now. Show mercy, that you may obtain mercy. Then your light shall break forth as the morning, and your darkness shall be as the noonday.
