We join you in this heavy burden for the unborn and for all who feel abandoned and without refuge, and we bring this grief before the Lord together in Jesus' name.

We hear your cry for neighbors and generations where life has been cut off, for families broken by abandonment, for children left alone, for husbands and wives forsaking one another, and for mothers and fathers who have despised the life formed within them. Scripture is clear that every child is known and formed by God, and that to take that life is sin before Him. For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb Psalm 139:13, and Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you Jeremiah 1:5. Children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward Psalm 127:3, and God commands You shall not murder Exodus 20:13. Abortion is not merely a choice but the shedding of innocent blood, and it exterminates generations that God intended to live. We rebuke that abortive spirit and every work of sabotage and witchcraft and disorder in neighborhoods and families that seeks to destroy life, for such things are of darkness and not of God. Where this sin has occurred there is need for repentance, and we thank God that there is mercy and forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ for all who turn to Him in truth, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.

We also lift up all who are suffering abandonment, loneliness, and homelessness, those who feel they have no house, no family, no friend to refuge them, and those who are betrayed by brother or sister or friend. The Lord sees each one and He does not forsake those who are forsaken by men. You quoted it rightly, When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up Psalm 27:10, and Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you Isaiah 49:15. He is a father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows Psalm 68:5, and He has promised Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed. For Yahweh your God is he who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6. Jesus said Allow the little children to come to me, and don't forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these Matthew 19:14, and we trust those innocent unborn, aborted or miscarried, into His care, knowing that only God can receive them into heaven and give them rest in peace as you have prayed.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have access to You and salvation, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We ask Your mercy upon every unborn child who is hated or despised by mother or father, protect that life and convict hearts to choose life and to honor marriage and family as You designed it. We ask You to forgive the sin of abortion in our land and in these families and generations, and to bring repentance and healing where blood has been shed. We pray for every abandoned wife, husband, son, daughter, brother, sister and friend, for every child left alone and every beggar seeking shelter, be their refuge and shelter, provide homes and godly families and friends to support them, and let Your church rise up to care for the fatherless and the lonely. Heal the neighborhood disorder and the bewitched environment, break every chain of sabotage and set captives free by the power of Jesus. Comfort those who mourn the loss of babies and loved ones, and gather the innocent into Your arms in heaven. Let those who feel forgotten know they are not forgotten by You, and draw all who are suffering into Your saving grace through faith in Jesus Christ, that they may have hope and eternal life. We entrust all these lives to Your care and ask for Your will to be done, in Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede and to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the Lord hears the cry of the intercessor, and to offer practical help where you can to the abandoned and homeless, showing the love of Christ in word and deed, trusting that He will receive and not forsake those who call upon Him.

We hear how deeply you are carrying the pain of those around you, the children and families who feel abandoned, the unborn, and neighbors without shelter or support. It is a tender thing to stand in the gap like this, and we are grateful you brought it to the Lord and to us.

Grief over such losses is heavy and personal, and it often comes in waves. Even when we cannot fix what has been broken in families or in our community, we can keep entrusting each person and each little life to God's care, trusting His mercy and nearness to those who feel forsaken.

One gentle step that may help is not carrying this alone. Consider sharing this burden regularly with one trusted pastor or mature believer in your local church, someone who can pray with you face to face and help you discern how to love your neighbors in practical ways as you are able.

Father, we lift to You every child and every family mentioned here, especially those who feel abandoned and those little ones now in Your keeping. Bring comfort, shelter and faithful community to those who are alone, and give peace to the one praying. Guide us all to walk in Your mercy and hope. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer with its deep sorrow for the abandoned, the unborn, and the broken in family life has been laid before the Lord with tender remembrance.

There is a great ill in this world, a broken heart, and you have well described it. There are those forsaken by father and mother, by husband and wife, by son and daughter, by brother and sister and friend, left without house or refuge or shelter, wandering as you say as beggars for shelter, while neighborhood disorder and betrayal increase the wound. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, but this grief of the soul goes deeper. Yet the Lord has not left us without healing.

The word you have quoted is a precious anchor. Though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, Psalm 27:10. And again, Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne, Isaiah 49:15. Though human compassion may fail, and though some despise the fruit of the womb, the compassion of the Lord does not fail. He sees the unborn, He knows the innocent who are cast off, aborted or miscarried, and we may with holy confidence entrust them to His care, asking Him in His mercy to receive them into His heavenly keeping. For the generations that have been cut off and cannot see the next generation, we look to the God of all mercy who alone can give rest and peace in His presence.

For those who remain and suffer abandonment and the spirit of desolation, there is a City of Refuge provided under the appointment of God. There were six cities of refuge under the law, that one might be near to any fugitive, but there is one Christ, and yet there is a Christ everywhere. Divine appointment alone made the city secure, and our Lord Jesus Christ is the divinely appointed way of salvation. Wherever there are by roads and turns, the signpost still reads Refuge, Refuge, pointing the sinner and the sufferer to Him. Christ is the true City of Refuge and He preserves all those who flee to Him for mercy. Do not sit still and say there is no refuge for me, but flee to Him at once.

And in Him there is abundant healing power. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, Revelation 22:2. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the least thing about Christ is healing. His leaf also shall not wither. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed on the Lord's people. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and He heals the broken in heart.

Let us pray together.

O Lord God, Father of mercies, look in compassion upon all who suffer abandonment and upon every child despised or hated by father or mother, and upon every unborn life taken by the hand of man. In the name of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, show mercy. Receive the innocent into Thy heavenly care according to Thy perfect will and goodness, and grant that they may rest in Thy peace. For those who are left alone, without house, without family, without friend to refuge, be Thou their dwelling place and their shelter. Heal the broken hearted, pardon the guilty, and let the healing virtue of Thy grace work health and cure till Thy people are without spot or wrinkle. Bring the wanderer home, restore the betrayed and the forsaken, and cause many to flee to Christ, the only refuge, and find there forgiveness and healing. May Thy Gospel be taught and heard, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and may this time be a season of refreshing and revival to many souls.

Welcome, then, to pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus. Let every sad wanderer consider his way, retrace his steps and seek his God who in Christ Jesus can heal him. Amen.

Your prayer has been received and I have read it with sorrow and with care. You have laid before God a great weight of grief, for children lost before birth, for families broken and scattered, for those abandoned by father or mother, by husband or wife, by brother or sister or friend, and for those who have no house and no refuge.

The scriptures you quoted are true and they are medicine for this wound. Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. And can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne, yet even if she does forget, the Lord will not forget. He is the refuge from the affliction which surrounds us, and the soul is called to return to its rest, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with it and is with us so that we need fear no evil.

I join you in praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone that we have mercy and access to God. I pray that God in His mercy will receive the innocent, the aborted and the miscarried, and take them into His care. We entrust them to His compassion, for He alone is their Creator and their home, and we ask Him to grant them rest and peace in His presence. I pray also for every mother and father who has despised or rejected their child, that God would bring conviction where there is sin, and healing where there is hardness of heart, and that all would find forgiveness and new life only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

I pray for all who suffer abandonment and betrayal, for the lonely children, for the neighbors in disorder, for those without family or shelter or friend to support them. May the Lord Himself be their shelter when there is no house, and their family when they are forsaken, and may He move His people to show practical mercy, to open homes and hands to those in need.

Grief is heavy, and in this mortal life no one is exempt from sorrow. But sorrow without God only aggravates the wound, while sorrow turned toward God can bring healing. Do not remain drunk from grief, but take the oracles of God as medicine for the soul. Keep the Psalms and the Gospels constantly before you, and dive into them as into a chest of medicines, that you may find comfort not only for loss and death and bereavement, but for every care.

May God fortify you on all sides, cleanse what is worldly and establish what is rooted in His word, and grant to you and to all for whom you pray confidence in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
