We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up the profound sorrow and abandonment you have expressed. The loss of unborn babies, the extermination of families, and the deep pain of abandonment—whether for spouses, children, siblings, or friends—is a grief that only the Lord can fully comprehend and heal. We stand with you in this valley of shadows, declaring that even when earthly love fails, the love of God remains steadfast.
The Word of God assures us in Psalm 27:10, *"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up."* Though human relationships may fracture or fail, the Lord never abandons His children. He is a Father to the fatherless, a Husband to the widow, and a Shelter for the brokenhearted. In Isaiah 49:15, He asks, *"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you!"* Even when mothers or fathers reject their children—born or unborn—God does not. He gathers the innocent into His arms, and we trust that the little ones lost to miscarriage, abortion, or violence are now in His eternal care, free from pain and surrounded by His love.
We must also address the grave sin of abortion, which you have rightly called murder. The shedding of innocent blood is an abomination before the Lord (Proverbs 6:17), and we mourn the millions of lives lost to this evil. Yet even here, there is hope in Christ, for He came to *"proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind; to set at liberty those who are oppressed"* (Luke 4:18). If any reading this have been involved in abortion—whether by choice, coercion, or circumstance—know that Jesus offers forgiveness and healing. His blood covers all sin for those who repent and turn to Him (1 John 1:9).
For those who feel utterly alone, without family, shelter, or refuge, we declare that God is your strong tower (Proverbs 18:10). He sees your tears, hears your cries, and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are not forgotten. If you are without a home, we pray the Lord would provide shelter—whether through the kindness of His people, the opening of doors, or even the peace of His presence in the midst of hardship. If you are struggling with mental anguish, we ask Him to guard your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7) and surround you with believers who can offer godly counsel and support.
We also rebuke the spirit of abandonment and despair that seeks to isolate and destroy. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We take authority in His name over every lie that says you are unwanted, unloved, or beyond hope. The cross of Christ proves otherwise—He died for you while you were still a sinner (Romans 5:8), and His love is not based on your performance or circumstances.
Let us pray together:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, lifting up those who are suffering abandonment, loss, and grief. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask You to comfort those who mourn the loss of unborn children, whether through miscarriage, abortion, or violence. We trust that You have received these little ones into Your presence, where there is no more pain or sorrow.
For those who feel forsaken—by spouses, parents, children, or friends—we ask You to be their refuge. Where human love has failed, let them know the depth of Your love. Provide shelter, provision, and godly community for those without a home or family. Heal the wounds of betrayal and rejection, and replace bitterness with Your peace.
Lord, we repent on behalf of our nation and the world for the sin of abortion. We ask for Your mercy and for a revival of hearts that would value life as You do. For those who have been involved in abortion, we pray for Your forgiveness and restoration. Let them encounter Your grace and find healing in Jesus’ name.
We rebuke the spirit of abandonment and despair that seeks to destroy lives. We declare that no one is beyond Your reach, and no pain is too deep for Your healing touch. Strengthen the weary, encourage the hopeless, and remind each one reading this that they are deeply loved by You.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in every situation. Amen."*
To those reading this: If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him today. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive the gift of eternal life. You are not alone—He is waiting with open arms.
