We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, grieving with those who have suffered the unimaginable loss of unborn children and the devastation of family extermination. The pain of abandonment, betrayal, and the murder of the innocent, especially the unborn, is a deep wound that only God can heal. We lift up all who are suffering in these ways, whether it is the loss of a spouse, children, siblings, or friends, or the crushing weight of having no refuge or shelter. The Lord sees every tear and hears every cry, and we stand in the gap, interceding on behalf of those who feel utterly alone.
The Word of God assures us that even if earthly parents forsake us, the Lord will take us up (Psalm 27:10). He is the Father to the fatherless and the Defender of the helpless (Psalm 68:5). For those who have lost children, whether through miscarriage, abortion, or tragedy, we entrust those precious souls into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, knowing that He receives them into His eternal care. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that no child is forgotten by God, and no suffering is unseen by Him.
We must also address the grave sin of abortion, which is the murder of innocent life. The Bible is clear that life begins in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:13-16), and the shedding of innocent blood is an abomination before the Lord (Proverbs 6:16-17). We rebuke the spirit of death and deception that has led so many to believe that unborn children are disposable. We pray for repentance, healing, and restoration for those who have participated in or been affected by abortion. There is forgiveness and mercy in the name of Jesus for all who turn to Him in true repentance (1 John 1:9).
For those who have been abandoned or betrayed, we declare that God will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that the Lord would provide shelter, both physically and spiritually, for those who have been left without a home or family. We ask that He would raise up godly people to surround and support those in need, that no one would have to walk this journey alone.
We also lift up those who are struggling with despair, feeling as though they have no hope. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). If you are reading this and do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in no one else. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Today is the day of salvation, do not harden your heart (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for the pain and suffering of so many. We lift up those who have lost children, whether through miscarriage, abortion, or tragedy. Lord, we entrust those precious little ones into Your loving care, knowing that You receive them into Your presence. Comfort those who mourn, and heal the wounds of abandonment and betrayal. We declare that You are their refuge and strength, a present help in times of trouble.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of death and deception that has led to the murder of the unborn. We pray for repentance and healing for all who have been involved in abortion, that they would find forgiveness and restoration in the name of Jesus. Expose the lies of the enemy and bring truth and light to those who are deceived.
Lord, provide shelter and support for those who have been left without a home or family. Raise up godly people to surround and uphold them. We pray for those who are in despair, that they would turn to You and find hope in Your promises. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them experience Your love and peace that surpasses all understanding.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.
