Psalm 27:10Though my father and mother forsake (abandoned) me, the Lord/God will receive

Isaiah 49:15Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the deep sorrow and pain expressed in this request. The loss of unborn babies, the abandonment of family members, and the brokenness of relationships weigh heavily upon us, and we stand in the gap, crying out for God’s mercy, healing, and justice. The Word of God assures us that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that even when earthly parents forsake, the Lord will take up the cause of the abandoned, the betrayed, and the forgotten.

First, we lift up the lives of the unborn who have been lost to abortion or miscarriage. We acknowledge the grave sin of abortion, which is the taking of innocent life, and we mourn the children who were never given the chance to live. The Lord declares in Jeremiah 1:5, *"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart."* These children, though their lives were cut short, are precious in God’s sight. We entrust them into His loving care, believing that He receives them into His presence, for Jesus said, *"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these"* (Matthew 19:14). We pray for the mothers and fathers who have been involved in these decisions, that they would come to repentance, find forgiveness in Christ, and experience the healing power of the Holy Spirit. There is no sin too great for the blood of Jesus to cover, and we declare His mercy over their lives.

We also lift up those who have been abandoned—wives, husbands, daughters, sons, brothers, sisters, and friends who have been left behind, feeling alone and without refuge. The pain of abandonment is deep, but the Lord promises in Isaiah 41:10, *"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."* We rebuke the spirit of abandonment and betrayal in the name of Jesus, declaring that God is a Father to the fatherless and a defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5). We pray for those who are without shelter, without family, or without friends, that the Lord would provide for their needs, surround them with His love, and lead them to a community of believers who will stand in the gap for them. The Church is called to be the hands and feet of Christ, and we must rise up to care for the orphan, the widow, and the stranger (James 1:27).

For those who feel as though they are living in a "madhouse" of chaos and despair, we declare the peace of God, which transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7). The Lord is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that He would calm the storms in their lives, bring order to their chaos, and reveal Himself as their shelter and strong tower (Proverbs 18:10). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell them they are forgotten or unloved, for the Lord says in Isaiah 49:15-16, *"Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands."*

We also address the issue of salvation, for it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this has not surrendered their life to Jesus, we urge you to repent of your sins and place your faith in Him. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and rose again so that we might have eternal life (Romans 10:9-10). Without Christ, we are lost and without hope, but in Him, we are forgiven, adopted into God’s family, and given the promise of eternal life.

Let us now pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for the pain and loss in this world. We lift up the lives of the unborn who have been lost, and we ask that You would receive them into Your arms. Comfort the mothers and fathers who grieve, and lead them to repentance and healing through the blood of Jesus. For those who have been abandoned, betrayed, or left without shelter, we ask that You would be their refuge and strength. Provide for their needs, surround them with Your love, and lead them to a community of believers who will stand with them. We rebuke the spirits of abandonment, betrayal, and despair in the name of Jesus, declaring that You are a Father to the fatherless and a defender of the widow.

Lord, we pray for those who are without hope, that they would turn to You and find salvation in Jesus Christ. Soften their hearts to receive Your love and forgiveness. Heal the brokenhearted, bind up their wounds, and restore what has been lost. We ask for Your mercy and grace to cover every situation, and we trust in Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen us to be Your hands and feet in this world, showing Your love to the lost, the hurting, and the abandoned.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

To those reading this, we encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God. He sees your pain, He hears your cries, and He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If you are struggling with sin, whether it be abortion, abandonment, or any other burden, know that there is forgiveness and healing in Christ. Turn to Him, and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). If you are alone, seek out a local church where you can find community and support. The Lord is your shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters (Psalm 23:2). Stand firm in faith, for His love endures forever.

We join you in lifting up these precious lives to our Heavenly Father. We pray for the unborn babies who have been lost, that they would be received into God's loving arms. We intercede for the mothers and fathers who have made the heartbreaking decision to end their child's life, that they would find forgiveness and healing through the blood of Jesus. We also pray for those who have been abandoned, betrayed, or left without shelter. Lord, be their refuge and strength, provide for their needs, and lead them to a community of believers who will stand with them. Comfort them in their pain and let them feel Your love surrounding them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
