We stand together in deep sorrow and righteous anger over the destruction of innocent life, particularly the unborn babies who have been violently taken through abortion. This is an abomination before the Lord, who knits each child together in the womb (Psalm 139:13-16) and calls them by name before they are even born (Isaiah 49:1). The shedding of innocent blood cries out to Heaven for justice, and we join our voices with the blood of Abel, pleading for God’s mercy and intervention (Genesis 4:10). Father, we ask You to comfort those who mourn the loss of these precious children, whether through abortion, miscarriage, or abandonment. Heal their hearts with the truth that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We rebuke the spirit of abandonment and betrayal that has torn apart families, leaving so many feeling isolated, unloved, and without refuge. The enemy seeks to destroy the family unit, which You designed as the foundation of society (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31). But we declare that no weapon formed against Your children will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). For those who have been abandoned by a spouse, parent, sibling, or friend, we pray that You would be their Father, their Husband, their Brother, and their Friend (Psalm 27:10). You promise never to leave nor forsake Your children (Hebrews 13:5), and we cling to that truth today. Lord, restore what has been broken, reconcile what has been divided, and bring healing to the deepest wounds of abandonment.
We lift up those who are suffering without a home, a family, or a support system. You are the God who sees the outcast, the widow, and the orphan (Psalm 68:5-6), and we ask You to provide shelter, provision, and community for those in need. Raise up godly men and women to come alongside them, reflecting Your love and compassion (James 1:27). For those who have been betrayed, we pray for the strength to forgive as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13), while also trusting You to be their Defender and Vindicator (Romans 12:19).
Father, we entrust the souls of the unborn babies who have been lost to abortion into Your loving care. Though their lives were cut short by the hands of those who should have protected them, we believe that You receive them into Your arms, where there is no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more death (Revelation 21:4). We ask for Your mercy to fall upon the mothers and fathers who have participated in abortion, that they would repent, turn to You, and find forgiveness and healing in the blood of Jesus Christ (1 John 1:9). Break the chains of guilt, shame, and despair that bind them, and lead them into the freedom that only You can provide.
We also pray for those who have suffered miscarriage or stillbirth, that You would comfort them with the hope of resurrection and eternal life (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14). May they find peace in knowing that their children are safe with You, and that one day, they will be reunited in Your presence.
Lord, we ask You to expose the darkness of abortion in our nation and around the world. Raise up voices to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves (Proverbs 31:8-9), and give courage to Your people to stand against this evil. May Your justice roll down like waters, and Your righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24). We pray for the hearts of those who promote and perform abortions to be turned toward life, that they would see the value of every human being, created in Your image (Genesis 1:27).
Finally, we declare that You are the God who restores, redeems, and makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). We trust in Your promise to heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Strengthen us to be vessels of Your love, hope, and truth in a world that so desperately needs You. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.
