Good and Faithful Servant
Could you please for my betrayal friend and my familywho are suffering strong torment with their tongue[Proverbs 21:23] Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity.

We hear the deep pain and turmoil in your heart as you describe the toxic words and actions coming from those around you, your friend, your family, and others whose tongues have brought chaos, confusion, and harm. The Bible is clear about the power of the tongue, and we stand with you in agreement that this must stop. Proverbs 18:21 tells us, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit." The words being spoken against you and your loved ones are not just careless, they are destructive, and we must address them with the authority of Christ.

First, we must rebuke the spirit of gossip, slander, and deception that has taken root in these relationships. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he often uses the tongues of others to sow discord. But we do not fight against flesh and blood, our battle is against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We take authority over every lying tongue, every false word, and every spirit of division in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that the power of these words is broken now! No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against you in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

We also must address the role of social media in spreading these lies. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 10:18, "He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool." Sharing falsehoods, rumors, or malicious gossip, whether in person or online, is sin, and it grieves the heart of God. If these individuals are believers, they must be confronted in love and called to repentance. If they refuse to turn from their ways, we are instructed in Matthew 18:15-17 to treat them as those outside the faith. But we must also guard our own hearts, for Proverbs 4:23 says, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." Do not let bitterness or unforgiveness take root, for that would only give the enemy more ground.

We also notice that while you invoke the name of Jesus Christ in your request, we must emphasize that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If any of those involved in spreading these lies do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray for their salvation. For those who do claim Christ but continue in sin, we pray for conviction and repentance. The Bible is clear: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We lift up ### and their family and friend, who are being tormented by the toxic words and actions of others. Lord, we ask that You would silence every lying tongue and break the power of gossip, slander, and deception. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of confusion, discord, and division that has been sown through these words. We ask that You would bring clarity, peace, and unity where there has been chaos. We pray for those who have spoken falsely, whether out of malice, ignorance, or deception, that You would convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. If they do not know You, Lord, draw them to Yourself. If they do know You but have strayed, restore them to a right relationship with You.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for ###. Help them to guard their heart and to respond in a way that honors You. Give them the strength to forgive, even as You have forgiven them, and to walk in love, even toward those who have wronged them. Protect their reputation, Lord, and restore what has been damaged by these lies.

We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the One who defeated sin and death and who has given us authority over every work of the enemy. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.

In this season, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith. Do not engage in the same sin of gossip or slander, even in response to the hurt you’ve endured. Instead, let your words be seasoned with grace (Colossians 4:6) and let your life be a testimony to the love and truth of Christ. If possible, seek reconciliation with those who have wronged you, but do not compromise your integrity or your faith in the process. And above all, continue to seek the Lord, for He is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

When a neighbor’s tongue keeps stirring up confusion and hurt like this, the weight can feel relentless. Watching someone you love, and your own family, bear that sort of gossip and manipulation is exhausting, and we’re genuinely sorry you’re in the thick of it right now.

Something we’ve learned when the noise gets this loud: sometimes the healthiest step is to step back entirely from the chaos. You don’t have to read every message, correct every rumor, or defend every bit of your reputation. It’s not weakness to mute, block, or simply decide you won’t dignify poison with a response. Protect your peace, and let the truth about who you are settle quietly in your heart rather than getting dragged into a fight you didn’t start.

Practically, it might also help to lean on a few steady, trustworthy people from your church or small group. Not to spread the drama, but to have someone walk alongside you and pray with you regularly while this storm blows. If the false accusations ever cross into something serious, a pastor or elder may need to help you navigate it in a way that brings safety without escalating the conflict.

Words can wound deeply, but they don’t get to write the final story of your life or your family’s. Jesus was mocked, lied about, and misunderstood, and he entrusted himself to the Father. That doesn’t make the pain disappear overnight, but it gives us a place to stand when everything feels shaky.

Praying with you now:
Jesus, we ask you to silence the harmful talk and bring this turmoil to an end. Guard the hearts of our friend’s family from resentment and fear. Protect their reputations and their well-being, and give them the wisdom to know when to step back and when to speak. If it is your will, bring conviction to the person causing harm, and in the meantime be their shelter. We trust you to defend what is true. Amen.

The tongue is a restless evil, full of deadly poison, and you have felt its venom strike deep. When a neighbor’s whisper becomes a weapon, and betrayal wears the mask of friendship, the soul recoils as from a serpent’s tooth. I have known such sorrow, review the forty-first and fifty-fifth Psalms, and see how David’s lament finds its ghastly echo in the treachery Christ endured. Judas shared the table, handled the bag, yet kissed the gate of hell with his lips. To have a fair reputation and a false heart is to stand upon the brink of that same pit. Your friend, your family, even you yourself, targets of this madhouse zoo of rumor, this fake prophecy, this malicious gossip, taste a cup that the Master drained to its dregs. He was slandered, His words twisted, His motives poisoned by the very men He came to save. Do not think it strange; the disciple is not above his Lord.

But mark this: the railing tongue is its own calamity. He who guards his mouth keeps his soul from troubles, says the wise man, and the corollary is as certain, the unbridled mouth digs a grave for the speaker. These false professors, these spreaders of discord, build a scaffold for themselves while they think they are stacking stones against you. I have seen it, I have preached it: no man can utter false words without his own heart being first a furnace of lies. Have you never used false words? Has your heart always gone with your tongue? I do not ask that to condemn you, but to remind you that all have sinned, and the slanderer’s day of reckoning is only a few heartbeats away. The wicked may seem to prosper while their venom flows through Facebook screens and text messages, but God is not mocked. Vengeance is His, He will repay. The false peace they enjoy, a peace built on malice, on delay for your progress, on abnormal rumor, is a thin crust over the abyss. The false prophets of old cried “Peace, peace” when there was no peace, and their covetousness ate their own souls. These who deal in mockery and confusion are heaping up wrath against the day of wrath.

Yet I charge you, do not cry, “Not so, Lord!” when this cup is pressed to your lips. Let the Lord appoint you care or calumny, sickness or slander, for He knows best. Do you fear the ruin of your reputation? What is your reputation but a puff of air, unless it is hidden in Christ? He was numbered with transgressors; let it suffice that the servant be as his Master. If slander is the rod, you smart under it, but many of us have felt it before you. I have passed through floods of reproach that drowned my heart in bitterness, yet I found the Shepherd true when hirelings fled. He does not flee. He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart. The false shepherds, the ones who scatter the flock with their tongues, they seek the fleece, not the sheep. But the Good Shepherd seeks you in the valley of the shadow of death, in the dusty path of confusion and betrayal, and He will restore your soul.

Take this then as a blast of the trumpet against false peace, not for you, but against the doers of this evil. Pray for them, yes, but do not envy them. Their day is coming. And for you, cling to the God who never changes. The thing that has gone out of His mouth shall never be reversed. Men may speak lying wonders, they may forge false prophecies and pretend to visions, but God’s Word stands forever. When the tongue of man rises against you, let the tongue of God be your defense. Hide in His promises: “No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.” This is the heritage of the saints. Go often to the mercy-seat, plead the blood of Jesus over every device of the enemy, and you shall see that He makes the wrath of man to praise Him, and the remainder He restrains. The madness of this zoo will be silenced; the Lord shall laugh them to scorn. Be still, and know that He is God. Let prayer be your answer, not a heated word. Let faith be your shield, not a closed fist. And when the storm passes, as it surely will, you shall come forth as gold tried in the fire, and your very trial shall be a trophy of grace. So may it be.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The poison of a slanderous tongue is a grievous wound, yet it harms the speaker far more than the target. As it is written, “He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity.” Those who spread false rumors, malicious gossip, and invented prophecies are storing up judgment for every idle word. Do not, therefore, be consumed with anxiety over what they say; rather, pity them. For they have made themselves enemies of truth and have turned their own souls into madhouses, just as you describe.

If there were any real accusation, let them come with two or three witnesses and speak openly, as the ancient law commands. But these whisperers and backbiters attack in secret because their deeds are evil. They resemble those who slandered our Lord even amid His miracles, unable to relax their wickedness. Yet you must not repay evil for evil. Entrust your reputation to God, who sees all. Your peace does not depend on their words but on your own conscience. When you are reviled, bless; when slandered, pray.

Let no root of resentment take hold in your heart. If possible, go to those who offend, not to attack but to seek understanding, that the matter might be cleared. If they refuse truth, then leave them to the righteous Judge. Remember that Christ Himself was betrayed by a kiss and condemned by false witnesses, yet He did not revile in return. Your steadfast endurance in the truth will be a testimony against their lies.

Above all, guard your own tongue, for the fire that consumes the neighbor often begins with a spark within ourselves. Examine your own words, and let no idle speech escape your lips. I will join you in praying that the Lord silences this storm of confusion, heals the wounds of betrayal, and brings these slanderers to repentance. But pray also for them, that they may be delivered from the madness of a poison-spreading tongue before it destroys them entirely. Let us bind ourselves together in love, not giving place to division. Where two or three are gathered in His name, there He is in the midst, and no falsehood can stand against that presence.

The torment of a poisonous tongue is a deep and wearying suffering. Proverbs 21:23 holds the truth you are already clinging to, that the one who guards mouth and tongue keeps himself out of trouble. Yet the sting you feel comes because someone else refuses that guard, and their words are ripping through the fabric of what should be peace. What you describe is not mere friction. It is a targeted assault aimed at confusion, disorder, and the ruin of reputation. When a tongue is given over to rumor, mockery, and fake prophecy, it becomes a gushing wound that poisons many.

The Scripture gives us clear reason to take this seriously. In every generation, there have been those who speak in God’s name when He has not spoken, and those who spread destructive tales for their own gain. A false prophet does not wear a label advertising the lie. The words often sound plausible. They mingle just enough truth to gain a hearing. But the measure has always been the fruit. True prophecy, true speech under the Holy Spirit, always aims to edify, to comfort, to strengthen the believer. What you are encountering does the opposite. It breeds chaos, sows discord, manufactures tests designed to disqualify, and rehearses malicious suspicions. That is the signature of a counterfeit.

The heartbreak is that this poisonous stream often flows not from a stranger but from a neighbor, someone close enough for the betrayal to cut bone-deep. You feel it with your friend and with your family. The damage to reputation, the distortion of communication, the madhouse of manipulation, all of it is a dark echo of what the prophets faced. Jeremiah stood in the court of the king and heard a false prophet named Hananiah speak a smooth lie right in front of him, contradicting the true word God had given. It was a direct attack meant to discredit Jeremiah, to prop up a false hope, and to keep people from the painful, healing work they truly needed. The lie felt better in the moment, but it was a deadly substitute for the truth.

In the same way, the fake prophecies and malicious conversations coming against you are not harmless. They are designed to delay your progress, to choke out giving and increase, to wrap you in a fog of resentment and conflict. But you have rightly named the root: a wrong spirit. And you have rightly brought it under the only authority that can still it, the name of Jesus Christ. No depth of character is carved out apart from real suffering. The Lord allows the pressure because it drives us to the place where His comfort becomes not just a doctrine but a firsthand reality. When God ministers strength to you in the middle of this jaw-clenching trial, you are being equipped. Someday you will sit beside someone else wrecked by a poisonous tongue, and you will know exactly how to comfort them with the comfort you yourself received.

Hold fast to this: God does not stutter. Any word truly from Him will stand, and what is fake will collapse under its own weight. You do not need to chase down every rumor or untangle every lie. The heart that guards its own mouth first before the Lord will find a shelter that no slander can breach. Keep praying with the sharp clarity you already have. Ask the Lord to silence the spreading error, to heal the life of resentment in those wielding their tongues for harm, and to give you such a deep-rooted peace that the chaos cannot shake you. The God who sees will make the truth plain, and the tongue that rises against you in judgment you will refute, because your defense comes from Him.
