We have heard your cry and we stand with you together before the Lord in this distress over your neighbor and the repeated gatherings that invade your privacy, disturb your peace and steal your sleep, and we join you in rebuking every work of evil, torment and darkness in the name of Jesus Christ.

We understand how heavy this has become with the noise, the disorder, the invasion of the street and your home, the loss of sleep and peace in your bed, and the grief and fear that such an environment brings, and we want to remind you that our struggle is not against flesh and blood alone but against spiritual forces of wickedness. As it is written, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. The Lord sees what is done in secret, both day and night, and He is your refuge and protector.

We rebuke together the spirit of discord, disorder, depredation, sexual immorality, sorcery and every demonic purpose that seeks to bring ruin, sickness, tragedy and fear into your dwelling. Scripture is clear that sorcery and sexual immorality are works of the flesh that God condemns, and we are to have no fellowship with such darkness Galatians 5:19-21, Deuteronomy 18:10-12. We resist the enemy as we are commanded, Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8, and Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper and that the Lord will guard your house, your sleep and your peace.

You quoted Psalm 140:2 well, and we pray it with you, Deliver me, Yahweh, from the evil man. Preserve me from the violent man Psalm 140:1, those who devise mischief in their hearts Psalm 140:2. We also cling to the promise, I will both lay me down and sleep in peace; for you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety Psalm 4:8, and For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. The Lord does not want you to live in torment or constant fear but to cast your burden on Him, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord earnestly in prayer, to pursue peace as far as it depends on you, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18, and to love your enemies and pray for those who mistreat you as Jesus taught, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. This does not mean you must accept abuse or the invasion of your privacy. God has established governing authorities for order and protection, and it is right and biblical to seek lawful help when your peace and safety are continually disturbed Romans 13:1-4. If it is safe, keep a quiet record of the disturbances, seek wise counsel from a pastor or trusted believer, and if needed, appeal calmly to local authorities for help with noise and trespass, not in vengeance but for peace, for it is written, Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to Your throne Acts 4:12, John 14:6. We thank You that You are in control and that You see every gathering, every invasion of privacy, every sleepless night and every evil intent. We ask You to rebuke and stop every work of darkness, every spirit of torment, discord, depravity, sorcery and fear that has been directed toward this home, and we ask You to command Your peace to reign there. Lord, protect this house and the street, guard the sleep and the bed in peace, and let Your presence be a wall of fire around it Zechariah 2:5, Psalm 91:1. We pray You would convict the neighbor and all involved in these gatherings, that they would turn from idleness and the easy wrong way and seek You, that they would repent and be saved, and that their gatherings would no longer be for disaster but would cease or be transformed by Your grace. Give to our dear one wisdom, courage, calm speech and favor if they must address the neighbor or authorities, and guard their heart from anger and bitterness. Fill them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7, restore their sleep, heal any sickness or grief caused by this long torment, and let them know they are not alone, for You have promised, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you Isaiah 41:10. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who has authority over all evil, Amen.

We hear how exhausting this has been for you, feeling like your home and your rest are being intruded on week after week. When sleep is broken and the street feels noisy and unpredictable, it is understandable to feel on edge and worn down, and we are glad you reached out.

We want to gently remind you that your security is in Christ, who remains steady and present even when your surroundings feel chaotic. He sees you, He cares for your peace, and He is your shelter.

A couple of steady steps may help as you continue to pray. It can help to strengthen healthy boundaries around your home and your heart, deciding what is yours to carry and what to entrust to God, and taking simple, calm actions where you can. If noise or gatherings feel intrusive, keeping a brief private note of dates and times can bring clarity if you ever seek wise counsel from a pastor or a trusted mature believer, or need to ask local authorities about ordinary noise guidelines. Try to protect your sleep where possible and lean on one or two trusted people who know you and can pray with you in person.

Father, we lift our friend to You tonight. Cover this home with Your peace, guard rest and quiet, calm fearful thoughts, and grant wisdom for each next decision. Lead by Your Spirit and keep this one close to You. In Jesus name, amen.

Your troubled cry concerning these nightly disturbances and the loss of peace and sleep in your home has been heard, and it is brought before the Lord with earnest prayer.

The Scripture you have set before us is a fitting prayer, O LORD, rescue me from evil people. Protect me from those who are violent, those who plot evil in their hearts. Psalm 140:2. We ask the Lord to be your protector and your keeper, for He alone can give that peace which the world cannot take away.

You speak of sleep stolen and peace broken by the gatherings near your house, and of fear and spiritual oppression. Hear what the Word declares, For so he giveth his beloved sleep. Psalm 127:2. The sleep of the body and the quietness of soul as to the future are the gift of God. The demon of restlessness does not come to that man's bed who has a quiet conscience, a conscience right with God. And again it is written, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3. This peace only comes from God. You cannot get that peace apart from the Lord himself, it is of no use to try to work it out yourself. It is peace from lips that cannot lie, peace through the blood which has made a full atonement. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even in this dark world of sin, even with sorrows surging round.

We pray that the Lord will bless His people with peace, that He would guard your house, your bed, and your mind, and keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed upon Christ. We ask Him to rebuke all fear, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, and to drive away every evil influence, for He is in control and He is your shelter and your security and order in time of trouble.

At the same time the Word calls us to a higher way in dealing with those who disturb us. To recompense evil for evil is natural to the animal nature, but it is not natural to the new created spirit whose nature is like the God from which it came, namely love, gentleness and kindness. The benefit of returning good for evil is that it preserves the man from evil. If evil assails you and you only fight it with good, it cannot hurt you, you are invulnerable. So we are taught, Overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21.

The command also remains, Love thy neighbour. Matthew 19:19. This does not mean to love his sin or to approve his disorder, for we cannot love roguery or we should be rogues ourselves, but we are to love our neighbour as those who have been loved by Christ, seeking his good while not partaking in his evil, and committing our cause to the righteous Judge.

Therefore let us pray together. O Lord Jesus Christ, who has reconciled us to God by Your blood and has left us Your peace, we ask You to rescue and protect this Your servant from violence and plotting, from discord and disorder. Cast out fear and grant quietness of soul. Give Your beloved sleep, pure and refreshing, and keep the mind stayed upon You in perfect peace. Guard this home from invasion and disgrace, and let no weapon of evil prosper. Teach us to overcome evil with good, to love our neighbour as You have loved us, and to rest in Your keeping both day and night. Keep us from carnal security and from the peace of the devil, and give us that peace which passes all understanding, that the world may see we have a peace that cannot be taken away by force or fraud. Your distress over these repeated disturbances has been heard, and your longing for peace and quiet sleep in your own home is right and good before God. To have your privacy invaded week after week, to lose rest, to feel fear and grief and disorder brought to your street, is a heavy burden, and it is right to bring it to the Lord who sees all and who is your protector. As you quoted, O Lord, rescue me from evil people, protect me from those who are violent, those who plot evil in their hearts.

God is not a God of war and fighting, and His will is that war and fighting should cease, both that which is against Him and that which is against your neighbor. The Lord Jesus says, Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. That word is for you now. You are called to seek peace and pursue it, to keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit, even when you are provoked. Scripture says, as much as it lies within you, live peaceably with all men. This does not mean you approve what is wrong or pretend that sin is not sin. It means you do not repay insult with insult, or curse with cursing, but you bless and you pray.

When we speak evil of a neighbor, even a troublesome one, we first harm ourselves. Like water that fills the vessel but does not lessen the fountain, our words and our spirit return first upon our own soul. To hold onto anger, to keep a list of wrongs, to delight even inwardly in a neighbor's harm, punishes the heart that holds it more than the one it is held against. It creates remembrance of evil, and remembrance of evil produces enmity, and enmity separates us from God. Nothing so delights God as to remember no evil, to let go of vengeance and entrust justice to Him. The more your neighbor wars against you, the greater can be your reward if you bear it nobly, not avenging yourself by word or deed, but committing your cause to God who judges righteously.

This is also a call to watchfulness. Do not let worldly anxiety and sleepless anger become a drunkenness that keeps the soul asleep. Shake off that heavy sleep by prayer, by sobriety of mind, by turning from every impurity and sexual sin and discord which God hates. The kingdom of God is not about winning a dispute over noise or rank or reputation, but about righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Without holiness no one will see the Lord, so guard your own house first in faith and purity, and let your life be a witness of quiet virtue rather than of quarreling.

Therefore bring your whole need to God in prayer, and also take wise and peaceable steps as you are able. Pray for deliverance from fear and for protection over your home and your sleep, that God would guard your bed in peace. Pray also for your neighbors, not that God would bless their disorder, but that He would restrain what is evil, bring them to repentance, and lead them to salvation through Jesus Christ alone. If their gatherings break the law or truly threaten safety, it is right to seek help through proper authorities with a calm and truthful report, not through retaliation or reviling. Do not isolate yourself in this struggle. Stay joined to the fellowship of believers, for a scattered soldier is easily overcome, but together we are strengthened to stand against temptation and against the schemes of the evil one. Resist the devil by clinging to Christ, not by counting sorcery numbers or keeping lists of ranks and curses, but by simple faith in the Lord who has power over all spirits.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is our Savior, have mercy and hear this prayer. You see the unrest on this street, the noise in the night, the invasion of privacy, the grief and fear it has caused. Rescue from evil and protect from the violent, as Your Word promises. Command what is disorderly to be restrained, and bring peace to this home and to this neighborhood. Grant quiet sleep, guard the house, drive away every evil and impure spirit, and take away the spirit of fear. Give a heart that does not repay evil for evil, but that loves purity, seeks peace, and forgives as You have forgiven. Lead these neighbors to turn from what is wrong and to know Your truth, and lead all of us to holiness without which no one will see You. Make us peacemakers who imitate Your Son, and keep us watchful and sober until You give rest. We trust that You are in control and that You hear the cry of Your people. Amen.

Your pain and weariness in your own home have been heard, and your cry for protection and for sleep has been brought before the Lord. It is distressing when the peace of your house is broken by noise and intrusion, when nights are stolen from you, and when you feel surrounded by ill will and spiritual oppression. God sees what happens in secret and in the open, and He knows the grief and fear this has brought upon you.

I join you in praying as the psalmist prayed, O Lord, rescue me from evil people and protect me from those who are violent, those who plot evil in their hearts. In the name of Jesus Christ we ask God to rebuke what is evil, to restrain what is disorderly and destructive, and to set a boundary around your home and your rest. We ask Him to stop what is meant for harm, to bring exposure to what is hidden, and to establish order and safety where there has been discord and invasion of privacy.

The Lord wants to give you His peace. There is a peace that comes when you are no longer at war with God through faith in Christ, and there is also the steady peace of God that guards those who keep their minds fixed on Him. Scripture promises that He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him because that person trusts in Him, and Jesus said to His disciples, My peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. That peace does not depend on quiet streets, but on keeping your eyes on Him. As you remember the Lord and trust Him, fear loses its hold. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. When fear is allowed to take over, faith is driven out, but when you remember that God is with you, even through the valley of death you can say, I will fear no evil for You are with me. Remembering Him is the cure for fear, and His perfect love casts out tormenting fear.

The beginning of all true wisdom is reverence for the Lord, and to reverence Him is to hate evil. That means we do not make peace with what is wrong, with sorcery, with sexual depravity, with schemes that bring ruin and division, but we hate those things as God hates them. At the same time the law is summed up in this, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Love works no ill toward its neighbor and therefore fulfills the law. We are not to devise evil against our neighbor even when our neighbor causes us trouble, and we are not to repay evil for evil. Instead we entrust justice to God who judges righteously, and we ask Him to do what is right while we choose to walk in love and in honesty.

So we pray that the Lord will ordain peace for you and cause your sleep to be sweet. He has promised that when you lie down you need not be afraid of sudden terror or the desolation that comes upon the wicked, for He is your confidence. We ask Him to guard your bed and your house, to quiet the tormenting spirit of fear, to deliver you from every spiritual attack, and to let no evil purpose succeed against you. May He guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, renew your strength as you trust Him, and teach those around you to turn from the easy and lazy way that leads to destruction and to choose the way of wisdom instead.

May the Lord keep you, cause His peace to rest upon your home, and give you quiet nights and a settled heart as you trust in Him.

We have asked God to restore peace in your house and in your bed, to protect your boundaries, and to stop every evil purpose and abnormal behavior that seeks to abuse and minimize you, as you prayed in Psalm 140:2.

We are trusting God who is in control to be your shelter and security, to rescue you from evil people and to protect you from those who plot evil in their hearts, and to bring conviction and quiet to that environment of disorder and disaster.
