We hear your cry and we join with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ to seek the Lord together for your peace and rest, for you have endured a heavy burden for three years from this tormenting environment around you.

You are right to claim Psalm 4:8, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you alone, Yahweh, make me dwell in safety, and we stand on that promise with you. The Lord indeed gives sleep to His beloved, as it is written in Psalm 127:2, for he gives sleep to his loved ones, and He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as we read in 2 Timothy 1:7. When the atmosphere around your home feels like a nightmare, like a madhouse of disorder, discord, meddling, gossip, bullying, and harassment, we remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places as taught in Ephesians 6:12. Therefore we put on the full armor of God so that we can take our stand against the devil's schemes according to Ephesians 6:10-11.

We agree with you to rebuke in the name of Jesus Christ every demonic atmosphere, every spirit of witchcraft and sorcery, every voyeurism and sexual perversion, every fake encounter, every spirit that seeks to invade privacy, to steal sleep, to transfer ruin, misery, tragedy, sickness and death, and to disturb the peace of your life and the lives of others. The Word is clear that witchcraft and sorcery are an abomination before the Lord, as written in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, there shall not be found with you anyone who practices divination or sorcery or interprets omens or is a sorcerer, and we rebuke all such works of darkness. We also rebuke the imprudent behavior, the gossiping, the nosy meddling, and the bullying on the road and in the neighborhood, for such things cause divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching we have learned, and we are urged to watch out for those who cause divisions and to avoid them as written in Romans 16:17.

We also hear your discernment when you say we do not have obligations with demons, whether human agents of darkness or spiritual forces, and that we are not God to defend or protect those who willingly walk in evil. That is biblical wisdom. We are called to love our neighbors and to pray for them, yet we are not to be yoked together with darkness or to partake in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather to expose them as in Ephesians 5:11. We do not have fellowship with those deeds, and we are right to set a holy boundary and to avoid those who persist in causing strife. The Lord Himself is our defender and protector, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world according to 1 John 4:4.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and have access to You as declared in Acts 4:12 and John 14:6. We thank You that Jesus is Lord and that at His name every knee must bow and every demonic power must flee. We ask You to cover this dear one with the blood of Jesus and to let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind. We ask You to rebuke and cancel every assignment of witchcraft, sorcery, false prophecy, voyeurism, and nightmare harassment that has been sent against this home and against other innocent lives nearby. We command in Jesus name that every spirit of sabotage, ruin, misery, tragedy, sickness, and death be bound and cast out and have no place to transfer or to steal. We pray You would cleanse the atmosphere in the neighborhood and everywhere this harassment has reached, and that You would silence gossip, meddling, and bullying. We pray You would restore quietness and safety so that Your child can both lie down in peace and sleep, for You alone make us dwell in safety. Let Your holy angels encamp around this dwelling as promised in Psalm 91:11, for he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, and let no weapon formed against them prosper according to Isaiah 54:17. Teach us to submit to You, to resist the devil, and to see him flee as promised in James 4:7. Fill this home with Your Holy Spirit, with rest, with peace, and with the assurance that You are in control of this disaster spiritually and physically. We trust You to bring justice in Your time and to protect the innocent. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue daily to put on the full armor of God, to pray aloud the Word over your bed and home, to keep your heart free from fear, and to walk in holiness and separation from those who practice darkness. Keep your eyes on Jesus, dwell in His secret place, and He will be your refuge and fortress as in Psalm 91:1-2, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. If the harassment involves true threats or unlawful behavior from neighbors, seek wise godly counsel and also the proper authorities for protection, while continuing to wage the spiritual battle in prayer. The Lord sees what you have endured these three years, He has not forsaken you, and He will give you rest in peace as you abide in Christ.

We hear how weary you must be after three years of feeling unsafe at home and unable to rest well. When sleep is broken and there is noise and tension nearby, everything feels heavier, and we are sorry you have been carrying this for so long.

We want you to know you do not have to hold responsibility for your neighbors or their struggles. It is not your job to fix or protect them. You can entrust them to God and ask Him to be the one who watches over your home and your peace. He sees you, He cares about your rest, and He is the one who makes a place of safety.

It may help to share this burden with one steady, trusted person nearby, a pastor or mature believer who can pray with you in person and know what is happening week to week. And if the loss of sleep continues to weigh on your health, please consider talking with your doctor as well as continuing in prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You tonight. We ask for Your quiet presence over their home and their bed, for deep and peaceful rest, and for wisdom for each next step with neighbors and surroundings. Guard their heart from fear and draw them close to the peace only You can give. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a precious truth we have often preached, that sleep is the gift of God. We do not sleep merely because we lay our heads upon the pillow and compose our bodies, but because He giveth His beloved sleep. There is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the Christian enjoys, not because the night is free from trouble, but because the Lord watches over His own. When the world is full of discord and disorder, when there is meddling and malice and the noise of those who disturb the peace, still the believer may rest, for his soul is kept in Jesus.

You speak truly that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore we are called to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and to put on the full armor of God, that we may take our stand against the devil's schemes, as Ephesians 6 teaches. Witchcraft and sorcery and every work of darkness are not to be trifled with nor to be feared as though they were stronger than Christ, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. We have no obligation to the powers of darkness, and we are not called to defend or to answer for the sins of others, but to walk in holiness and to keep ourselves from evil.

We also hear your reference to Romans 16:17, which urges believers to be watchful of those who cause divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching of the faith, and to avoid them. O Lord our God, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, we rebuke every evil influence and every work of darkness that would steal rest and sow fear and transfer misery and disorder into this life. Thou art sovereign over all disaster and all spiritual wickedness, and Thou hast promised that they who sleep in Jesus are kept by Thee. We ask Thee to cancel every assignment of the enemy, to silence voyeurism and every unclean and intrusive spirit, to break the power of witchcraft and sorcery and false prophecy, and to scatter the atmosphere of nightmare and confusion that has made it hard to rest. Put Thy hedge about this dwelling and about all who seek Thee there. Let peace rule within the walls and within the heart.

Grant, O Lord, the sleep of Thy beloved. Your cry for peaceful sleep and deliverance from this troubling environment has been heard, and I have brought it before the Lord with you.

You quoted well, I will both lie down in peace and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety, Psalm 4:8. That promise is true, and it rests on the One who keeps Israel and neither slumbers nor sleeps, Psalm 121:4. When we cannot keep watch over ourselves in sleep, He keeps watch over us. He permits trials at times so that we may learn more clearly His power to save, but He never abandons those who trust in Him.

You also named the true nature of the struggle, as the Apostle teaches, finally be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, Ephesians 6:10 to 12. Therefore we do not wrestle with neighbors as enemies to be destroyed, but we stand firm against the evil that stirs up division, meddling, gossip, voyeurism, witchcraft and sorcery. All such works belong to darkness, and we are called to watch and be sober and to have no fellowship with them.

The Scriptures urge us to be watchful of those who cause divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching of the faith, and to avoid them, Romans 16:17. To avoid them does not mean to hate them or to return their harassment. The commandments are summed up in this, you shall love the Lord your God and your neighbor as yourself, and love of neighbor fulfills the law. God is not a God of war and fighting. He calls us to let war and fighting cease, both that which is against Him and that which is against our neighbor. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God, Matthew 5:9. The more another wars against you, the greater is your reward if you remain peaceful and remember no evil. Guard yourself, for the Scripture says do not suffer your foot to be moved. The suffering depends on ourselves when we choose to stand steadfast and unmovable. Part of that guarding is to shut the eyes of the soul to gossip, slander, and prying into the lives of others, and to refuse to bite and devour one another. It is also to stay awake in the soul, for there is a sleep of wickedness and a drunkenness of the soul that comes from malice, envy, and every vice, which makes a person see things falsely as in a dream. We are called instead to watch and be sober, doing what is good.

So we pray now for you and for others affected by this disorder and discord around you.

Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our only Savior, we ask for Your mercy and protection. We rebuke every demonic influence, every spirit of witchcraft and sorcery, every work of voyeurism, harassment, bullying, and invasion of privacy, and every attempt to transfer misery, sickness, ruin and fear from one life to another. Cancel this atmosphere of nightmare and confusion. Let no weapon formed against Your children prosper. Clothe this dear one with the full armor of God, with truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and Your Word, so that he may stand firm. Grant rest in peace, quiet sleep free from terror, and a home that dwells in safety because You alone make us dwell in safety. Teach us to love You above all and to love our neighbors as ourselves, to seek peace with all people, to avoid what is evil, and to keep our own hearts and lips from gossip and meddling. Keep watch over this house by night and by day, for You neither slumber nor sleep. Let Your peace, which passes all understanding, guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Continue to pray, to stay in the Word, to put on the armor daily, and to walk in love and sobriety. If the harassment continues, seek also wise and godly help from pastors and, where needed, from proper authorities, while keeping your own heart at peace and free from revenge. The Lord is in control, and He will be your safety.
