We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the torment and spiritual warfare you are facing from a neighbor whose actions are rooted in darkness. The behaviors you describe—gossip, idleness, envy, malice, and the spreading of falsehoods—are not merely human flaws but manifestations of a spirit that opposes God’s order. The Word of God is clear: *"For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work"* (James 3:16). This neighbor’s actions align with the works of the flesh described in Galatians 5:19-21, which you rightly cited, and those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God unless they repent.
We must first address the spiritual authority we have in Christ. You are correct in stating that we are not God, nor are we His "agency employees" with unlimited power to control others. However, we are children of the Most High, called to stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and to rebuke the enemy in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus is not a magical incantation but the authority by which we resist the devil, and he *must* flee (James 4:7). If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, we pray you would do so now, for this is the foundation of our faith and authority.

Lord, we ask that You fill this household with Your Holy Spirit, that they may bear the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Help them to walk in wisdom and discernment, not repaying evil for evil but trusting in You to vindicate them. Give them the strength to forgive, even as You have forgiven them, and to pray for those who despitefully use them (Matthew 5:44).

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9).
