We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this family in their time of grief and division. The loss of a mother is a profound sorrow, and we mourn with your sister as she walks through this valley of shadows. Father God, we ask that You wrap Your arms of comfort around her, reminding her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May she feel Your presence in her loneliness, and may the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up the brother who is struggling with resentment and negativity. Lord, we know that bitterness and anger can take root in the heart, especially in times of grief and stress. We rebuke the spirit of division and disunity that has crept into this family, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for healing in his heart, that he would release any unforgiveness and allow Your love to flow through him. Help him to see his sister through Your eyes, with compassion and grace, just as Christ has loved us (Ephesians 4:32).
Father, we recognize that Satan seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and we stand against his lies and schemes in this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will restore what has been broken. We pray for unity in this family, that they would bear with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:2-3). May they remember that they are one body in Christ, and that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).
Most importantly, we lift up the salvation of this sister and the entire family. Lord, we know that You desire all to come to repentance and be saved (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that the eyes of their hearts would be enlightened, that they may know the hope to which You have called them (Ephesians 1:18). May they turn to Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). For there is no other way to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). We pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would move mightily in this family. Bring healing to their wounds, restoration to their relationships, and salvation to their souls. May they experience Your peace that transcends all understanding and find their hope and strength in You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
