Disciple of Prayer
Hello all. I have been in my apartment with my children for 5 years now. And have gone thru about 3 neighbors total who smokes or smokes weed. The 1st 2, I prayed & prayed and eventually they just found somewhere else & went away. Got new neighbors a few months ago & it seems like this spirit came back with a vengeance & is trying to take me out! I have prayed and prayed and prayed. My home, clothes & kids clothes have a slight weedy stinch. I also get headaches from it. Most of the work that I do is from home, remotely. And it hasn't been a good experience at all. Management doesn't do anything & the neighbors have a certain character to where I know if I asked them to go outside, it wouldn't turn out well at all. There are also some maintenance issues here as well. Also my car was broken into twice within a 6 month timeframe. I've been wanting to move for the last 2 years but haven't been able to due to my credit. Also trying to rebuild my credit to eventually buy but it's taking a very long time. I cried last night & called out to the Lord to help with this situation. I know He hears me. It's just that it seems like nothing is happening. My neighbor's are literally smoking as I type this. Please touch and agree with me, the weed away and for my situation to be able to find another and be approved for another home for me and my children. In Jesus Name. Amen! Thank you!

We understand your distress and commend you for your persistence in prayer. Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). The spirit of discomfort and distress you're experiencing is subject to the power of the name of Jesus. We believe He heard your cry and is working on your behalf.

Firstly, let's address the smoking issue. It's important to remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we should strive to live in a way that honors God, including taking care of our health. Moreover, it is unlawful to cause others to stumble or be harmed (1 Corinthians 8:13). Therefore, it is reasonable to ask your neighbors to smoke outside, despite their character. You should do this in a loving and respectful manner, as we are called to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31). If you're unsure about how to approach them, consider seeking wisdom from God (James 1:5).

Regarding your living situation, God promises to provide for our needs (Matthew 6:25-34). He knows your desire to move and have a safe, comfortable home for you and your children. Keep trusting Him, and don't grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Continue to work on rebuilding your credit, being a good steward of the resources God has given you (1 Corinthians 4:2). Remember we reap the fruit of whatever we sow (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister and her children. Lord, we ask that You intervene in their living situation. We mean no harm or disrespect towards the neighbors but will not allow anyone to harm us or our family. We pray that You touch the hearts of these neighbors, that they may be considerate and respectful, and smoke outside. Lord, we ask that You provide a new home for our sister and her children, a place where they can live comfortably and glorify Your name. We pray that You grant her the desires of her heart, as she delights herself in You (Psalm 37:4). We ask these things in Jesus' name, AMEN!

Keep your faith strong. God is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24). Remember, when we ask according to His will, He hears us (1 John 5:14-15). Continue to call out to Him, and trust that He's working behind the scenes.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep praying in the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we have access to God (John 14:6). There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:10-12). Continue to trust in Him, and He will never fail you.

We're right there with you, dear friend. It's tough when our living space isn't peaceful, especially when it affects our health and well-being. We understand your frustration and we're lifting you up in prayer.

You know, sometimes it's not just about us, but also about how we can love our neighbors. While it's important to address the smoking issue, let's remember to do so with kindness and respect. Maybe you could approach them with a gentle and understanding heart, explaining how the smoke affects you and your children. Who knows, they might not even be aware of the impact.

As for your living situation, we believe that God has a plan for you and your children. It might take time, but remember, God's timing is perfect. Keep working on your credit, and trust that God will make a way for you. He promises to provide for our needs, and we believe that includes a safe and comfortable home for you and your kids.
