Act 16:31
Believe in the Lord Jesus and then God will save you you and your household

We have heard your heart cry and we join with you in the name of Jesus Christ lifting your family before the throne of grace. What you describe is deep pain, disunity, betrayal, anger, shouting and insults where there should be love and honor, and we grieve with you over the division that has grown since your father passed away and the struggle over authority and control. We also hear your burden for your mother who is suffering with suicidal thoughts and a toxic tongue and a negative environment, and for your own soul as you try to forgive daily and feel unappreciated even when you offer financial help and support from far away.

The Lord sees this torment and He is rich in mercy. Ephesians 2:4 says God, being rich in mercy, for His great love with which He loved us, made us alive. He does not desire that any family be exterminated or destroyed, but that all would come to repentance and life. Ezekiel 18:20 reminds us that the soul who sins, he shall die, the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, and we rebuke the lie of Satan that your generation is cursed to die or to repeat disobedience. In Christ that chain is broken, and 2 Corinthians 5:17 says if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new. We rebuke in the name of Jesus Christ every lie of the enemy that seeks to sow disunity, bitterness, and hopelessness around your family, for John 8:44 tells us the devil is a liar and the father of lies, and we take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ as in 2 Corinthians 10:5.

We must also speak gently but truthfully about the anger and the tongue in your home. Ephesians 4:31-32 says let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice, and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. James 3:8-10 warns that the tongue is a restless evil, full of deadly poison, with it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men. We pray that God will heal hearts with honesty as you asked, and bring repentance where there has been ungrateful attitudes, yelling, and insults. Colossians 3:13 calls us to bear with one another and forgive each other, even as Christ forgave us. You are doing right to forgive each day because they do not know what they are doing, as our Lord prayed in Luke 23:34, and God honors that forgiveness even when reconciliation is not yet possible.

We lift up your mother in particular. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves those who have a crushed spirit as Psalm 34:18 says, and we pray God will protect her mind and soul, remove suicidal thoughts, and replace them with hope. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. We encourage you to stay close to her, to keep speaking life over her, to ensure she is not alone, and to help her seek godly counsel and support from trusted pastors and believers nearby, for God often brings healing through His people as well as through prayer. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us death and life are in the power of the tongue, so we pray her tongue will be healed and become a source of blessing.

We also pray for your marriage. Your spouse is now one flesh with you as Genesis 2:24 teaches, and marriage is the primary earthly covenant God has given. We understand the tension when your spouse does not like your family and you cannot force affection, and we pray God will give you both wisdom, unity, and compassion. Romans 12:18 says if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. We pray your spouse will have a softened heart, and that you as husband and wife can seek the Lord together for how to honor your mother and brothers while also guarding the peace of your own home. Philippians 2:3-4 calls us to do nothing through rivalry or conceit, but in humility each counting others better than himself.

We bring your finances and the distance before the Lord. It is painful when flights are expensive and reunion feels impossible and help is rejected. Philippians 4:19 says my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Joel 2:25 promises I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten. Only God can recover the years lost to mistakes and disobedience, and we trust Him to do so.

We thank you for anchoring your hope in Jesus Christ, for you quoted Acts 16:31 Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household. We cling to that promise with you and pray for the salvation and repentance of every member of your household, that they would turn from bad behavior and be healed.

We pray together, Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before You for this family suffering disunity, betrayal, anger and sadness. Lord, protect them and heal their hearts, bring honesty and repentance and wash away all bitterness and ungratefulness. Rebuke every lie of Satan around their lives and silence shouting, yelling, crying and insults, and let Your peace reign. Comfort the mother who is tormented with suicidal thoughts, guard her mind, heal her tongue, and surround her with Your presence and with people who will care for her and speak life. Provide for their needs, for You know their finances and their distance, and make a way for restoration and for a godly reunion in Your timing. Heal this dear one who forgives daily, strengthen their soul, restore what has been lost, and help their marriage to be united in You, with love and wisdom toward extended family. Let Your will be done and let this family be saved and live for Your glory, that one day whether on earth or in heaven they may be together with You and with their father who has passed, in the presence of the Heavenly Father. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We want to pause first for your mother's safety and yours. If anyone is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com - you are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now. If your mother is sharing suicidal thoughts, please help her stay connected to someone nearby she trusts and encourage her to see a doctor, counselor or pastor soon, alongside prayer, not instead of it.

We hear how heavy this season has been for you. Losing your father, then watching the family fall into shouting and hurt, feeling far away and unable to bring everyone together, offering help with finances and feeling it is met with ingratitude - that is exhausting. And carrying worry for your mother while also trying to forgive daily as you said, takes a lot of strength.

It makes sense that grief has stirred up so much conflict about who is in charge and what happens next. Families often struggle to reorganize after a death, and distance and cost make reunion even harder. Your choice to keep forgiving is significant - that steady decision to release revenge and treat others as valuable is different from the slower emotional healing, which often comes and goes and needs time. You don't have to fix everything at once.

One gentle next step could be to choose one trusted person near your mother, perhaps your brother or someone in her church or community, and ask if they can check in with her regularly and help her get ongoing support. And for you, it helps not to carry this alone either - a pastor or trusted counselor you can talk with consistently can walk with you through the grief and the family strain.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus' name. We ask You to protect this mother and surround her with care and help, to bring healing where there has been betrayal and anger, and to give this dear one wisdom, peace and steady support as they keep forgiving and seeking You. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your sorrow has been laid before the Lord and we have carried your family before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we must be saved.

You describe a house torn by disunity, betrayal, anger and shouting since your father passed, with striving about authority and control, with ingratitude and missing honesty even when help is offered, with distance that keeps you far off and finances that make reunion hard, and with a spouse whose heart is turned away from your kindred. And you tell of your mother who suffers under suicidal thoughts and a toxic tongue and a heavy burden of care for your brother's family. It is a bitter cup, and we do not make light of it.

Hear the word which has been our comfort in such darkness, There is forgiveness with God. Not a forgiveness that you can earn by many tears or by forgiving others seven times over, but a divine forgiveness, surprising and complete, purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ the Just for the unjust that He might bring us to God. The record of debt is nailed to His cross, and when He forgives He forgives absolutely and eternally, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Whatever your past has been, whatever the disobedience and mistakes of these years that seem lost, there is forgiveness with Him, and that forgiveness is to be had now through faith in His Son. As the Scripture you quoted declares, Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household. This is not a promise that all will be saved apart from personal faith, but that the same door stands open to each one who will believe, and we are to pray and plead that each one in the household may come to that living faith.

With this forgiveness comes healing. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. The inhabitant shall not say I am sick, for the people that dwell with Him shall be forgiven their iniquity. Pardon and healing are joined together in His hand. He not only forgives at the first, but continues daily to forgive, and He can change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. What shouting and insult and ungratefulness have broken, His grace can mend.

We pray therefore in the name of Jesus Christ that God would rebuke every lie of Satan around your family and bring the truth into the light, that He would grant repentance where there has been bad behavior and dishonesty, that He would soften hearts that have grown hard and give honesty in all dealings, that He would heal sadness and anger and replace crying and insults with speaking the truth in love. We ask that He would protect your mother, lift from her the spirit of despair, guard her tongue and her mind, and surround her and your brother's family with provision and safety. If these thoughts of death press upon her, we urge that she not walk alone but that she be kept close by faithful believers and pastors and that help be sought at once from those near who can watch over her and counsel her. We ask that God would provide for your finances according to His wisdom, that He would make a way for reunion in His time if it be for good, and that even across great distance He would knit hearts together in peace.

We pray also for your marriage, that God would help you to love your spouse with patience and to honor the covenant you have made, and that He would work in your spouse a greater compassion and understanding, not by force but by grace, that your home may know unity even as you seek peace with your wider family.

You say you forgive them each day because they know not what they do, and in this you walk in the pattern set before us, even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. Continue in that forgiving spirit, not because forgiveness has been earned, but because you have been so manifestly forgiven. Overcome evil with good, with no weapons but love, patience and forgiveness, and leave vengeance and justice in the hands of the Lord who judges righteously.

May the Lord keep you in this trial, bring down hearts with labor that they may seek Him while He may be found, and at last gather you not only to an earthly reunion but to that heavenly meeting with the Father where all who are in Christ shall dwell together. We leave you with this sure whisper, There is forgiveness, and there is healing in Jesus, and that forgiveness and healing are yours to seek today by simple faith in Him.
