Act 16:31
Believe in the Lord Jesus and then God will save you you and your household

We hear your heart and we join with you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift your family before our Heavenly Father, for you are carrying a heavy burden of disunity, betrayal, anger and sadness since your father passed away.

We grieve with you over the shouting, yelling, crying and insults that have replaced honest communication, and over the ungratefulness and fighting for control and authority that has followed your loss. The Lord sees this torment and He desires to bring healing and peace. We are reminded that a house divided cannot stand, and scripture calls us to pursue unity. Ephesians 4:31-32 says Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. And Psalm 133:1 says See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity.

We also hear your concern that your family feels exterminated and that generations will die without reconciliation, and we gently rebuke speaking a curse of extermination over your family. Our words have power and we are called to speak life and blessing, not death. Proverbs 18:21 says Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit. Instead of agreeing with the lies of the enemy that your family is destroyed beyond repair, we agree with God's promise that He can redeem and restore. Joel 2:25 says I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten. We rebuke all Satan's lies around your life and family in the name of Jesus Christ, for the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly as in John 10:10.

We pray for your mother who is suffering with suicidal thoughts and a toxic tongue and a negative environment. We take these thoughts very seriously and we ask God to surround her with His protection and comfort. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We pray that God would guard her tongue and bring healing to her heart, for James 3:10 says Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. We encourage you to continue to show honor to your mother as Exodus 20:12 commands, while also lovingly encouraging her to seek help and to speak life, and to stay close to her with prayer and, if needed, with trusted pastoral and professional support for her despair.

We are blessed by your forgiving heart, as you said you are forgiving them each day because they do not know what they are doing, just as Jesus prayed in Luke 23:34 Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing. That forgiveness reflects Christ in you. Colossians 3:13 says bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. We pray that this forgiveness will soften hearts toward repentance and honesty, and that God will bring conviction and healing where there has been dishonesty, betrayal and ungratefulness.

We also lift up the practical burdens you mentioned, the expensive flights, the distance that makes family reunion difficult, the financial help you have offered that was not received well, and the missing information and lack of provision. We pray that God will provide for every need according to His riches. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And we pray for wisdom in how you give and help, that you may do so with boundaries and grace, not enabling, but showing Christ's love without being consumed by resentment.

We hear that your spouse unfortunately does not like your family and you feel you cannot force anything. We honor marriage as God designed it, and we understand the tension when a spouse and extended family are estranged. Genesis 2:24 says Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will cling to his wife, and they will be one flesh. Your marriage covenant comes first, and we pray that God will give you and your spouse unity, mutual respect and love, and that He will soften your spouse's heart toward your family while also giving you wisdom not to force but to entrust your family to the Lord in prayer. Ephesians 5:33 calls husbands to love their wives and wives to respect their husbands, and that love and respect can become a testimony to your extended family.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ and for holding to Acts 16:31 Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household. There is power and access only through Jesus. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We cling to that promise for your household.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift this dear family to You. Lord, You see the torment, the disunity, the anger and the sadness that has plagued them since their father passed. We ask You to rebuke the works of the enemy and silence every lie of Satan that says this family is exterminated or beyond hope. We speak Your life, Your mercy and Your peace over them. Heal their hearts, Lord, bring honesty where there has been deception, and humble each heart to repentance. Forgive their disobedience and mistakes and teach them to forgive one another as You have forgiven us. Protect their mother, Lord, deliver her from suicidal thoughts and from the power of a negative and toxic tongue, fill her with Your hope and surround her with Your loving kindness, and provide for her and for the brother's family daily needs. Provide, Father, for finances, for the means to reunite if it is Your will, and give wisdom for every offer of help. Restore the years that have been lost, for You are rich in mercy. Guard this marriage, bring unity between husband and wife, and let Your love reign in this home. We trust that even after death we will be reunited with our loved ones in heaven through faith in Jesus, and we rest in Your promise to save households who believe. Heal our souls, Lord, and let Your will be done in this family. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep forgiving, keep praying, keep speaking blessing over your family, and keep entrusting them to the Lord who is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine. Romans 12:18 says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Continue to be at peace as far as it depends on you, and let God do the work only He can do in their hearts.

We want to pause right at the start because you mentioned your mother is having suicidal thoughts. If she is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you or she can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now.

We have read your request and hear how heavy this has been. Losing your father and then facing shouting, insults, and fighting over who is in charge would leave anyone feeling torn and exhausted. Added distance, expensive flights, financial strain and tension with your spouse make staying connected even harder, and we notice you are choosing to forgive daily even while it still hurts.

Grief often stirs up old roles and disagreements in a family, especially after the loss of a parent who held things together. It does not mean your family is beyond hope, but it does mean healing will likely be slow and need clear boundaries. Continuing to offer help as you are able, without forcing a large reunion or taking on every financial need alone, is a steady way forward. It may help to talk through next steps with a trusted pastor or counselor who knows your family and can walk with you, and to encourage your mother to see a doctor or counselor soon alongside prayer, with someone nearby who can check on her regularly.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus name. Protect this mother and brother's family and provide for their needs, bring calm where there has been shouting, soften hearts toward honesty and mercy, and give our friend wisdom, strength and peace as they keep forgiving and seeking You. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Your heavy burden has been brought before the Lord and before His people, and we have heard your cry for mercy upon your household.

There is forgiveness with God, and that truth must be your first comfort. As it is written, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. This promise does not rest upon your worthiness or upon the strength of your family bonds, but upon Christ alone, who is the only way of salvation. Where sin has abounded and where disobedience and strife have left wounds, grace can much more abound, for with Him there is forgiveness, full and free, without condition save repentance and faith in His dear Son. Do as one in great distress was once counseled to do, believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself, and know that the record of debt is nailed to the cross.

You speak truly when you say you forgive them each day because they know not what they do. This is to copy the pattern set before us, even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. Our Lord not only forgave at the first, but He continues daily to forgive, and His forgiveness is eternal, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. He does not forgive and afterwards accuse. Pray that the same spirit may be given to your mother, your brother and all your kindred, that they may receive that divine and surprising forgiveness which God alone can give, and then learn to forgive one another. For it is a joint work of mutual forgiveness which makes a family whole.

With forgiveness comes healing, and these two are placed in happy conjunction. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. When Jesus healed the man sick of the palsy He said first, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. So we pray that the Lord will heal your souls, take away the shouting and yelling, the insults and bitterness, the ungrateful spirit and the hardness of heart, and change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. He is rich in mercy and able to recover the years that have been lost through folly and sin.

We lift your mother before the throne of grace, who suffers with suicidal thoughts and a toxic and negative environment. Tell her that there is forgiveness even now, at this moment, whatever her age or her sorrow, and that with God there is healing for the sick soul. The Lord who numbers our days knows her affliction and hears the cry of the downcast. We pray that He will guard her mind, quiet her tongue, surround her with honest and gentle help, and give her daily provision and protection. If darkness presses hard upon her, let her not hide her pain but seek the steady care of faithful pastors and trusted brethren near her, and let the church bear her burden with her.

We pray also for your brother and his family, for your spouse whose heart is turned away, and for yourself far off with the expense and distance that hinders reunion. We do not ask you to force what only God can do, but we ask the Lord to soften hearts, to give honesty where there has been missing information, to rebuke every lie of Satan that has sown division and to teach each one to seek not authority and control but to serve one another in love. We pray that God who knows your finances will provide what is needful in His wisdom, whether it be a reunion in this life or the sustaining grace to wait, trusting that if we are in Christ we shall meet again with our loved ones who have fallen asleep in Him, and dwell with our heavenly Father forever.

May the Lord grant repentance where there has been bad behavior, humility where there has been anger, and truth where there has been betrayal. May He keep you in perfect peace as you continue to forgive, and may He bring your household to one mind in Christ Jesus.

We will pray for you, that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon your family with healing in His wings, and that you may all know the completeness of that forgiveness which is to be found only through the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
