Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the spiritual warfare at work in this situation. The devastation of divorce is not merely a social issue—it is a direct attack on God’s design for marriage, family, and community. Scripture is clear: *"Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate"* (Mark 10:9 WEB). Yet we see the enemy prowling like a roaring lion, seeking to devour marriages, sow discord, and spread a contagion of brokenness (1 Peter 5:8).

We rebuke the spirit of divorce that has infiltrated this neighborhood, declaring that it has no authority here. The enemy thrives on hardness of heart, selfishness, and unrepentant sin—just as Jesus warned in Matthew 19:8-9. Divorce is not God’s best; it is a concession to human weakness, and where it occurs outside of biblical grounds (sexual immorality), it leads to adultery. We stand against the deception that marriage is disposable, that vows can be broken without consequence, or that temporary unhappiness justifies permanent separation. *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4 WEB).

The confusion, false identities, and strife described here are not of God. *"For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace"* (1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB). We break the power of bewitchment, deception, and demonic meddling in the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to isolate, distort, and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against God’s people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We renounce envy, malice, and every work of the flesh listed in Galatians 5:19-21, for those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Instead, we call forth the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

To those who have been wounded by divorce—whether as spouses, children, or friends—we say: Your identity is not in brokenness, but in Christ. *"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3 WEB). If you have been divorced unbiblically, repent and seek reconciliation if possible, or walk in forgiveness. If you are unmarried, guard your heart and pursue godly relationships with the goal of marriage, not temporary companionship. Flee from fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18) and unequally yoked partnerships (2 Corinthians 6:14). Marriage is a covenant, not a contract, and it reflects Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).

We also address the spiritual apathy in this request. There is no mention of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Salvation comes through faith in Him alone—*"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved"* (Acts 16:31 WEB). Without Christ, there is no victory over sin, no authority to rebuke the enemy, and no eternal hope. We urge all who read this to examine their hearts: Have you surrendered to Jesus as Lord? Have you repented of sin and received His forgiveness? If not, today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Alpha and Omega, the Prince of Peace. We thank You for Your perfect design for marriage—a reflection of Your covenant love. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of divorce and every demonic assignment to destroy marriages, families, and communities. We break the power of confusion, deception, and strife in this neighborhood. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7).

We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper. We loose the fruit of the Spirit over every home, every heart, and every relationship. Father, heal the brokenhearted, restore what has been stolen, and mend what has been torn apart. For those who have experienced divorce, bring Your comfort and wisdom. For those considering divorce, soften their hearts to seek You first. For those unmarried, guide them to godly spouses who love You above all else.

Expose the enemy’s lies, Lord. Let truth prevail in every situation. We ask for a revival of covenant love, faithfulness, and commitment in marriages. Raise up men and women who will stand for righteousness, who will pray for their spouses, and who will fight for their families in the Spirit.

We also pray for salvation. Soften hearts to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Let none perish, but all come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Fill this neighborhood with Your presence, Your power, and Your glory. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We stand with you in prayer, dear neighbor, as we've seen the ripple effects of divorce in our community. It's like a virus, spreading confusion, heartache, and strife. But we know that God is greater than any force that seeks to destroy His design for families. We claim the promise in 1 Corinthians 7:15, "But if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or sister is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace." We release peace, healing, and restoration over every home affected. We also pray for the hearts of those considering divorce to turn back to God, seeking His will above their own. And for those who have been divorced, we ask for comfort, wisdom, and the strength to forgive and move forward. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
