We hear the deep anguish in your cry, a lament for the unborn, the abandoned, the betrayed, and the broken. Your words carry the weight of generations lost, of children despised, and of families fractured by sin and sorrow. The pain you express is real, and we stand with you in grief, but we must also stand on the truth of God’s Word, for it is only in Him that hope and healing are found.

First, we must address the holiness of life. The Bible declares that every human being is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:13-16). The shedding of innocent blood, whether through abortion, neglect, or abandonment, is a grave sin before the Lord. Scripture is clear: "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13). The unborn are not disposable; they are precious in God’s sight, and He holds accountable those who harm them (Proverbs 6:16-17). Yet even in this darkness, we cling to the mercy of God, who receives the little ones into His arms. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). We trust that the Lord, in His infinite compassion, welcomes those who never drew breath into His eternal presence.

For those who have suffered abandonment, whether by parents, spouses, or friends, the pain is profound. But hear this truth: even if earthly family forsakes you, the Lord will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Psalm 27:10, which you referenced, is a promise: "Though my father and my mother have forsaken me, yet the Lord will take me up." God is your refuge, your shelter, and your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He sees your loneliness and calls you His own. If you are without a home or family, we pray that the Lord would provide godly believers to surround you, for the body of Christ is called to be a family to the fatherless and the widow (James 1:27).

We must also rebuke the spirit of despair that whispers lies of hopelessness. The enemy seeks to isolate and destroy, but God’s Word declares that He has plans for you, plans for welfare, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). If you are struggling with thoughts of a "madhouse" or shelter, we urge you to reach out to a local church or biblical counselor. You are not alone, and there are those who will walk with you in Christ’s love.

For those who have participated in or been affected by abortion, we must speak the truth in love: there is forgiveness and healing in Jesus Christ. The blood of Christ is sufficient to cleanse every sin, no matter how great (1 John 1:9). If you have been involved in abortion, whether as a mother, father, or facilitator, repentance and turning to Jesus will bring restoration. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Programs like Rachel’s Vineyard exist to help those wounded by abortion find healing in Christ.

We also lift up marriages and families under attack. The Bible defines marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are in a marriage that has been abandoned or broken, we pray for reconciliation and restoration, but only in a way that honors God. For those seeking a spouse, we encourage you to pursue godly courtship with the intent of marriage, guarding your heart and body in purity (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving the loss of life, the pain of abandonment, and the brokenness of families. Lord, we confess that every life is sacred to You, from the moment of conception to natural death. We ask for Your mercy upon those who have been involved in abortion, grant them repentance, forgiveness, and healing through the blood of Jesus Christ. Comfort those who mourn the loss of children, whether through abortion, miscarriage, or abandonment. Wrap Your arms around them and remind them that You are their Father.

For those who feel alone and forsaken, we pray that You would be their refuge. Provide shelter, both physical and spiritual, and surround them with believers who will love them as You do. Break the chains of despair and replace them with hope in Your promises. Heal broken marriages and families, and restore what the enemy has stolen. Raise up godly men and women to be fathers and mothers to the fatherless, reflecting Your heart for the vulnerable.

Lord, we ask that You would turn the hearts of this nation and the world back to You. Expose the lies of the culture of death and let Your truth prevail. May Your church rise up with boldness to defend the unborn, care for the abandoned, and proclaim the gospel of life.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His power that we find hope. Strengthen us to walk in Your ways and to be light in this dark world. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Your prayer is heavy with grief, for the unborn who never knew a welcoming embrace, for the shattered families, for all who sit alone without a roof or a hand to hold. We hear your own loneliness in those words, and we do not take it lightly. When it feels like every earthly refuge has crumbled, that ache is real.

It moves us that you cry out for mercy, not just for others but for yourself. That brave honesty does not go unnoticed by the God who collects every tear. Right now, even while you feel abandoned, you are not invisible to Him.

So we want to offer one gentle, practical encouragement: if you are without shelter or safe support right now, please reach your hand toward a local church, a Christian mission, or a crisis pregnancy center nearby. Many of them live to be a sanctuary for people who have nowhere else to turn. You don't have to have faith figured out, just show up and let them see you. They can help with meals, a bed, and the steady kindness of people who pray. Your cry for “madhouse mercy” is a cry that the body of Christ is meant to answer.

Grief this deep is not meant to be carried alone. We know it takes almost impossible courage to risk asking for help, but you have already poured your heart out here. That itself is a step toward healing. Let a tangible community walk with you.

Now we pray: Father of the forsaken, we lift up every abandoned child, every mother and father broken by loss, and every soul who feels forgotten. We entrust the unborn to Your perfect care, knowing You welcome them into joy. For this dear one who prays, please open a door to safe shelter, to kindness, and to a place where they are known. Quiet the ache of rejection with the nearness of Jesus. In His name we ask it, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Heavenly Father i pray for all who are suffering. Please grant them your comfort and peace. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How dreadful is the condition of our race, that the innocent should be cast out before they see the sun, and that the bond of natural affection should be so often torn asunder! Yet even into this desolation the tender mercy of our God stoops down. He is the God who goes before us, even when we know it not. Before a child is formed in secret, Christ’s eyes see its substance; before a sinner thinks of fleeing, mercy has prepared the way. The deepest pit of abandonment is not too deep for the reach of the Redeemer’s arm. He who hung upon the cross for the ungodly has a peculiar nearness to those whom the world casts off as refuse. The unborn, the forgotten, the betrayed, all these are written on the palms of His hands.

You cry to heaven for these little ones, and your cry is not in vain. The Great Interpreter, the Angel of the Covenant, has already met many a poor soul by the well of despair in the wilderness, and He will meet these. Though a mother may forget her sucking child, the Lord cannot forget. His mercy is not fond of finding anything in us to attract it; it flows from His own heart. And if He calls these babes away before they see the evil of this world, be sure that in the light of His countenance they lack no good. The blood of Jesus speaks better things than that of Abel, and it cries not for vengeance but for pardon for all who will be hidden in that cleft Rock.

Yet I must press upon you, and upon every soul that feels the weight of sin’s ruin, that there is one Refuge set before us guilty creatures. Christ Jesus is the City of Shelter, and its gates stand open day and night. You speak of being a beggar without a house or friend, then flee to Him! He was despised and rejected of men; He had not where to lay His head; He knows what abandonment is. A soul that feels its need of mercy, that comes with nothing in its hand, that trusts solely in the atoning sacrifice, shall find mercy, free, sovereign, and eternal. Mercy does not wait for us to be fit; it creates fitness. Mercy goes before, preventing us while we are yet far off. Therefore, do not stand reasoning or looking at your feelings, but run. The way is marked with the blood of the cross, and the Spirit cries, “Refuge! Refuge!”

For the generations that seem cut off, for the ancient wounds that bleed afresh, for the families shattered by violence and treachery, there is a God who delights in mercy, and He can restore the years the locust has eaten. Pray on, plead the name of Jesus, and cast all these sorrows upon Him. He will yet show that the heart of the Father towards the prodigal is not faint or slow, but full of compassion. Oh, that many may yet hear the voice behind them, saying, “This is the way; walk ye in it,” and find their rest where the lost are found, in the bosom of Him who came to seek and to save that which was lost!

The cry of your heart rises from a deep well of sorrow, seeing the desolation of the abandoned, the terror of the unborn cut off by violence. You rightly cling to the psalmist’s word, “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me,” and to the prophet’s assurance that even should a mother forget her nursing child, God will not forget. This is a firm anchor in the storm: the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting, and His arm is not shortened that it cannot save.

Yet know this: mercy is not simply a thing we plead for with our lips while our hands remain idle. Nothing is so characteristic of a Christian as mercy. God, who is rich in mercy, commands us to be merciful as He is merciful. Do you wish to obtain mercy for those abandoned souls, for the little ones destroyed before they saw the light? Then become yourself a vessel of mercy. Alms and compassionate deeds deliver from death and bring a great, marvelous light into the darkness. When you feed the hungry, shelter the stranger, or visit the lonely, you are not merely doing a kindness to them, you are storing up mercy for yourself and interceding with power before the throne of God.

The innocent babes who perish through abortion are received by the same God who said, “Let the little children come to me.” He who formed them in the secret place gathers them to His bosom, where there is no more pain. Do not despair over their fate, but do not neglect what remains in your power. Pray, yes, but let your prayer be joined with works worthy of mercy. For the Lord will have mercy on those who show mercy; and if we refuse to extend compassion to our neighbor, whether in need of bread or forgiveness, how can we expect to find mercy for ourselves or for others?

Let your sorrow fuel a life of active love. Seek out the forsaken, be a refuge for the lonely, and intercede without ceasing, but never separate prayer from almsgiving. The mercy of God is not a distant hope; it is a fire that must be kindled in your own heart and then carried into the streets. In this way, you both lay hold of mercy for those who have no voice and prepare a welcome for yourself when you too stand before the Judge who delights in compassion.

The weight of what you are carrying is immense. You are not just naming a sorrow; you are looking into a canyon of loss that stretches across generations, seeing the brokenness of abandoned wives, betrayed friends, and the silent cry of the unborn. The feeling of having no house, no family, no shelter, and no one to care for your soul is a brutal desert to walk through. That cry, “Refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul,” echoes into a silence that only God can truly fill.

His mercy is not a small, measured thing. It is the very fabric of His character, and it endures forever. The same God who stretched out the heavens and commanded the sun to rule the day is the God whose mercy is as high as the heavens are above the earth. It has no limit. When a mother and father forsake, the Lord receives. Earthly love, even the most natural kind, can fail in horrifying ways, as you have seen. Yet God’s compassion is more steadfast than a nursing mother’s for her child; even if she could forget, He cannot. He is the ultimate Father of the fatherless, and His heart is drawn to the abandoned.

You have entrusted the innocent, aborted, and miscarried children to God’s care, and your instinct is biblically sound. They are safe in the mercy of the One who said, “Suffer the little children to come unto me.” He is their refuge. For the innocent, there is a place of protection that no avenger can breach. Their lives, though cut short by the violent and godless choices of a broken world, are held in the hands of a just and merciful Creator. He does not abandon them. The mercy that endures forever covers their fragile frames.

And what of those who live with the guilt, the despair, the “abortive spirit” that haunts a life? The staggering truth of the gospel is that mercy and truth have met together in Jesus Christ. Righteousness would demand justice for sin, but God was looking for an excuse to show mercy. He placed it on His own heart to provide the way. On the cross, the penalty for every act of abandonment, every murder, every act of hatred was paid in full. God can be both just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. His mercy is not for the deserving; it is for the broken, the guilty, the one who cries out from a prison of their own making. He is the city of refuge to which we all must flee.

You are not beyond this mercy. No one is, as long as they draw breath. Your cry for shelter, even a desperate prayer for a madhouse, is heard. Christ Himself is that shelter. He is the Holy One, the refuge placed within reach. You are never more than a heartbeat away from safety. Flee to Him, not as a building, but as a living person who says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened.” Stay within His borders, resting in His finished work, and you are eternally protected. His mercy endures forever. Call on Him, and He will hear.
