We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother or sister who is suffering from afflictions in their digestive system. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knit us together in our mother’s womb and knows every part of our bodies intimately. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, healing has been provided, and we stand on Your promise in Isaiah 53:5: *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."*
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of infirmity, sickness, and pain that is attacking this precious one’s digestive system. We command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus, for Your Word says in Luke 10:19, *"Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you."* We speak life, restoration, and wholeness to every organ, tissue, and cell in their body. May Your healing power flow like a river, bringing strength where there is weakness and comfort where there is pain.
We also pray for wisdom for the medical professionals involved in their care. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, and let them be instruments of Your healing. If there are lifestyle changes or dietary adjustments that need to be made, reveal them clearly to this dear one, and give them the discipline and strength to follow through.
Father, we ask that You would draw near to them in this time of need. Let them feel Your presence and peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they place their trust fully in You, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their heart, we pray that You would bring it to light and lead them to repentance. Healing is not just physical but spiritual as well, and we desire for them to walk in the fullness of Your blessings. Your Word says in James 5:16, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."*
We also lift up their emotional and mental well-being, Lord. Chronic illness can take a toll on the spirit, and we ask that You would fill them with hope, joy, and peace. Let them cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Surround them with a community of believers who will uphold them in prayer, encourage them, and walk alongside them in this journey.
Above all, we pray that this trial would draw them closer to You. May they seek Your face more than healing, knowing that You are their ultimate healer and provider. Let their testimony be a powerful witness to Your faithfulness and love, bringing glory to Your name.
We declare healing over their body in Jesus’ name, for Your Word says in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for the miracle of healing that is on the way. We trust in You, and we give You all the praise, honor, and glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
