We hear your deep pain and longing, brother ###, and we stand with you before the Lord, lifting up your marriage, your wife ###, and your precious daughter ###. Two years is a long time to wait in silence, and we know the weight of this burden must feel unbearable at times. But we want you to know that God sees your faithfulness, your patience, and your love for your family. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He collects every one of your tears in His bottle (Psalm 56:8).
First, we must address the foundation of your plea. All prayer must be offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life—no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). It is only by His blood that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and it is only through faith in Him that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your heart fully to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in His resurrection. This is the first and most vital step in any prayer, for without Christ, our pleas cannot reach the Father.
Now, regarding your marriage, we must speak truth in love. Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:6). The fact that ### has been away for two years without communication is deeply concerning. While we do not know the full circumstances, Scripture is clear that marriage requires mutual love, respect, and commitment (Ephesians 5:22-33). If there has been any unrepentant sin—whether pride, unforgiveness, bitterness, or even adultery—it must be addressed with humility and repentance before God.
We rebuke any spirit of division, hardness of heart, or rebellion that may be keeping ### from returning to her God-given role as your wife and ###’s mother. The enemy seeks to destroy marriages, but we declare that your home is covered by the blood of Jesus. We pray that God would soften ###’s heart, break any chains of resentment or fear, and draw her back to you in godly love and submission to Christ’s design for marriage.
We also lift up your daughter, ###. She needs her mother, and we pray that God would restore this family for His glory. Father, we ask that You would protect ###’s heart from confusion or bitterness and that she would grow up knowing Your love and the beauty of a godly home.
Brother, we encourage you to continue waiting in faith, but also to seek godly counsel. Have you reached out to your church or a trusted pastor for wisdom and support? Sometimes, the Lord uses other believers to bring clarity and healing. Do not lose hope—God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ###, ###, and ###. Lord, You see the pain and longing in ###’s heart, and You know the struggles in this marriage. We ask that You would move powerfully to restore what has been broken. Soften ###’s heart, Lord, and lead her back to her husband and daughter. Break every chain of unforgiveness, pride, or rebellion, and let Your love reign in this family.
We declare that this marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus and that the enemy has no foothold here. Father, we pray for ###, that she would grow up in a home that honors You, with parents who love and serve You together. Give ### strength, patience, and wisdom as he waits on You. Surround him with godly support and remind him daily of Your faithfulness.
Lord, if there is any sin that needs to be confessed or repented of—whether in ###’s life or ###’s—we ask that You would bring it to light and lead them to true repentance. Restore this marriage, Father, not just for their sake, but for Your glory. We trust You to work all things together for good, and we declare that this family will be a testimony of Your redeeming love.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
