Need some prayer too...

Today I unexpectedly find myself without a job.

I am temping, but it was said to be long term. Yesterday the Directors came to the conclusion they actually needed a junior lawyer in the department and not a third secretary, they told me this morning and now I am without a job. I am still digesting the news but know that in the Lord everything turns to good for those that love Him.

Fortunately the Lord had already started the process of another job application last week, as I unexpectedly was asked by an agency to apply for something close to my home, something I would actually like much more. Monday I will know if that particular company wants to see me or not.

Now of course I pray the Lord would open that door on Monday. Another job is OK too, as long as it is from the Lord.

His Word says He will not leave me nor forsake me. I pray this today over my life and job situation. Looking forward to what He is going to do!

Please help lift this in prayer!

Today, Father, we accept Your gift of abundance and blessing over Angeline's life. Thank You for always supplying her needs, always making straight her path. We pray that Your hand would be over her employment situation, and that the perfect opportunity is just around the corner. Take her strong work ethnic, her joyful spirit, her ready testimony and place them where they can serve You best. Watch over her, guide and protect her during this time of transition. In Jesus' name I ask these things, amen.

Lord Jesus, We thank you for our sister, Angeline. She is a good and faithful servant and brings blessings to so many here in the prayer room. I ask your hand upon her employment situation. I know there was a good reason for this present job to close.

Will you lead her to another. If you want her to have the job she is to hear about Monday, let her know. In the mean time, pour out your mercy and your grace and wrap your loving arms around her to protect her and keep her safe from the enemy. Keep her positive. Now she will have more time to pray! Praise the Lord for this blessing as she is a mighty warrior. I thank you and look expectantly to see what you will do for my sister. I am confident that You will bring this circumstance to ultimate good for Angeline. Your word tells us that in ALL things You work for the good of those who love You.

Father, we can't see the future...as You can. You, who know the end...as well as the beginning. This event was unexpected for my sister. However, she puts her trust in You and Your word. I trust too, that You will provide for her..that You will give Angeline a good job close to home; one that she enjoys; one that pays well. I ask that You hold Angeline in the palm of Your mighty hand. Carry her through this tough circumstance and let her give all the glory and honor to You, our creator, our King. Thanking you all very much for praying for me...

It is a day later now and I must say when I first heard the news, I was shocked and it felt unreal, but I did not so much have problem with the fact of losing the job, although it puts me without income, but with the whole atmosphere around it, they have been unpleasant till the last minute... my heart hurts of how I have been treated all the time in that company and actually also even that last day (yesterday). I have given my best, like I always do where I work, because I believe in integrity and in working the best I can. When they fired so suddenly without giving me some more time to search something else, I felt like my best had not been good enough. Although I know that is subjective, just my feelings...

Part of me is courageous, but my heart hurts. And I know that the Lord has already started taking care of me by sending last week this unexpected job offer... Thanking and praising Him for having a plan that is above what I know. So much in life is about molding who we are in our character... how do I deal with challenges and hurts? If the Lord would not put any difficulties on my way, I would not learn how to deal with them... So thanking the Lord in all things and staying close to His side!
