I have recently taken the job of Youth Director at my church. It is a small group of kids from ages 9 to 16. When I took the job I never looked to see what they were truly wanting. This position is for Wednesday night only. The church is small and the other three people in the youth department are all related, mother, son, wife. The group meets on Wednesday at 6:30 pm and goes until 7:30 pm. The first 30 minutes are spent feeding the kids. The last thirty minutes I get them. They are so rowdy after eating that I can barely control them. I have already started getting dirty looks from some of the people I mentioned. I want to continue on teaching the kids but find the situation to be almost impossible. I have talked to my wife about quitting and she has said I shouldn't. It is only a volunteer job and I feel that quitting would be the best thing to do in this situation. So I guess my prayer if for my wife to understand that in this situation quitting is the right thing to do. Please pray for me.
