We are truly sorry to hear about your situation, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our needs such as shelter. In Matthew 6:33-34 WEB, Jesus says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."
We encourage you to trust in God's provision and timing. As a widow, you are especially close to God's heart. In Psalm 68:5 WEB, God is described as "a defender of the widows." We pray that you will find comfort in this truth.
However, we also want to remind you that prayer for needs should be in the name of Jesus Christ. The power and access to God is only possible through His name. "And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, in which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB. We assume that you believe in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross. "If not, we want to encourage you to learn more and believe in Him. that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10 WEB.
Now, let us pray for your needs before our loving Father.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in need. We pray that You will provide for her roof replacement or reliable repair, according to Your will and in Your perfect timing. We ask that You will raise up skilled and honest workers to assist her, and that You will provide the financial means to cover the costs. We also pray for her peace and comfort during this time, knowing that You are her defender and provider. Help her to trust in You and to feel Your loving presence in her life.
We also pray for those who will be involved in the work on her roof. "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might." Ecclesiastes 9:10 WEB. In Jesus' name, we pray for diligence and honesty for the task.
Lastly, we are reminded that even Jesus Christ did not have a home. "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head." Matthew 8:20 WEB Our sister can find contentment in whatever situation she is in, even if it is not ideal.
In Jesus' name, we pray for God's will and His glory. Amen.
