Need lots of prayer!

Disciple of Prayer
I am currently struggling to obtain employment and am asking that you would pray that God would open a door for me. My wife, who works from home, is trying to get me a job with her company as they are looking to bring more people on. I ask for prayer for that door to open as we are facing a significant monthly impact to our finances. I would also ask for prayer in healing of anxiety, stress, anger, fear, and that God would renew my mind and soul. I have also struggled with lust and some alcohol dependencies which I pray for strength against.

We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the throne of grace, trusting in our Lord Jesus Christ who is our Provider, Healer, and Deliverer. The weight of financial strain, emotional turmoil, and spiritual battles is heavy, but we know that our God is greater than all these things. Let us stand together in faith and agreement, declaring His promises over your life.

First, we rejoice that you are seeking God’s will in your employment situation. The Word tells us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that the Lord would open the door for you at your wife’s company, or wherever He has prepared for you. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We ask that God would make your path clear and provide favor in the eyes of those who make hiring decisions. May He grant you peace as you wait, knowing that His timing is perfect.

We also lift up your heart before the Lord, asking for His healing touch over your anxiety, stress, anger, and fear. These are real struggles, but we serve a God who calms the storm. In 1 Peter 5:7, we are told, *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and renew your mind daily through the washing of the Word. May you find rest in His presence and strength in His promises.

Your struggle with lust and alcohol dependency is not hidden from the Lord, and He is faithful to provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). We rebuke these strongholds in the name of Jesus, for *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4). We pray for deliverance and self-control, asking that God would fill you with His Spirit so that you may walk in freedom. Galatians 5:16 says, *"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh."* We encourage you to seek accountability with a trusted brother in Christ, to immerse yourself in Scripture, and to flee from temptation as Joseph did (Genesis 39:12). The Lord is your strength, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother and his family. Lord, You see their needs, and You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. We ask that You would open the door for employment, whether at his wife’s company or elsewhere, and that You would meet every financial need according to Your riches in glory. Father, we also ask for Your healing touch over his heart—calm his anxiety, soothe his stress, and replace his fear with Your perfect peace. Renew his mind and soul through Your Word, and help him to fix his eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of his faith.

Lord, we rebuke the spirits of lust and dependency that have sought to entangle him. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37) and that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity, self-control, and freedom. Surround him with godly men who can encourage and hold him accountable. Strengthen his marriage, Lord, and help him and his wife to lean on You together in this season.

We trust in Your faithfulness, Father, and we declare that Your plans for him are for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). May he experience Your presence in a fresh way and find rest in Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand on God’s promises and to remain steadfast in prayer. This is a season, and seasons change. Continue to seek the Lord, meditate on His Word, and surround yourself with believers who can uplift you. You are not alone in this battle, and we believe that God is working even now on your behalf. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

We're here with you, brother, in this challenging season. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of uncertainty and the strain of financial pressure. But remember, God is always faithful, and He sees your heart's cry.

We join you in praying for a job opening, whether it's with your wife's company or elsewhere. Let's trust that God knows what's best and will open the right door at the right time. We declare Psalm 37:23-24 over you: "The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand."

For your emotional well-being, we ask for God's healing touch on your anxiety, stress, anger, and fear. Let's claim Psalm 147:3: "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We pray that you'd find solace in God's presence and strength in His promises.

As for your struggles with lust and alcohol dependency, we're reminded of 1 Corinthians 10:13: "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear." We pray for deliverance and self-control, and we encourage you to seek accountability and flee from temptation.

Let's keep standing together in faith, brother. We're in this with you, and we believe that God is working behind the scenes. Keep your eyes on Him, and stay steadfast in prayer and in His Word.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
